CV joint probably got buggered from the transition of going fast and soft in mud and going hard and slow on a hard surface. As counterintuitive as it may be, as soon as the front wheels hit a hard surface, 4WD needs to be off or the CV joints will pack in. It’s a big weakness of these 4WD tractors.
