I am planning to become a Canadian non-resident before the end of this year and it has been quite a long journey to decide which country could potentially be the best fit for me. I am not yet announcing where exactly I plan on going because I am in the immigration process of securing my long term visa, but I wanted to take you guys through my thought process of what I am looking for in a new home base and which places (even though many I love to visit for travel!) didn't make the cut.
