I just finished sewing this as my second sewn garment! Thank you so much for your very clear instructions, both in the pattern and this video and also for the nice printing format! I had some fabric leftover from my skirt project and now I have a nice little matching set. I chose yours in particular for the cunning little pockets and straightforward construction.

Wow. You speak so clearly. Your presentation is fantastic.
It is something I have wanted to make for years.
I love waistcoats but always thought they were so difficult to make.
I do have two questions one is how could I make the pattern longer please and how on earth do I then if inside out through those side seams they are tiny.
By the way this would be my first dress making project. I’ve made bits and bibs for children and grandchildren but I mainly quilt ( would have to remember to take the quarter foot off 🤣)
It’s such a well put together garment and vjdeo thank you

Hi Tracy, I’m so pleased you like it! There are ‘lengthen/shorten’ lines on the pattern. You would ideally cut through all pieces horizontally and insert the extra length needed. I have a blog post on how to lengthen a skirt on my website. The principal is the same.
Quilting is an art all of its own! If you can quilt I’m confident you could make this. Those side seams are really not so small I promise ❤
