Step 1: Update the Mouse Driver
Launch Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu icon and choosing Device Manager.
Expand the Mice and other pointing devices option.
Right-click your mouse on the list and choose Update driver.
Step 2: Tweak mouse settings
open control panel and click on view by category and select large icons
then click on MOUSE and choose 7 and 4 settings from WHELL TAB.
Step 3: Windows’ Devices and Printers Troubleshooter
Open Control Panel on your PC by accessing the Start menu, searching for Control Panel, and selecting the tool in the search results.
Select View devices and printers
Find your mouse on the window that opens.
Right-click your mouse and choose Troubleshoot in the menu that opens.
Step 4: RUN HARDWARE DIAGNOSTIC COMMAND
msdt.exe -id DeviceDiagnostic
sfc /scannow
to repair windows restart the system.
