Two West Ham lads. Massive thank you to what they achieved at the club. Got us back up to PL, some good times. Then Nolan being part of the historic seasons of Euro football and Trophy.
As a Villa fan I don't pretend to know how we will do this year but its so damn obvious they have NOT done their homework on us. Firstly Emery is NOT danger of losing his job even IF the season went pear shaped. Secondly, Emery has been at Villa for 1.5 seasons and his first objective was to get into Europe (tick) and ideally yes win the Conf while gaining invaluable experience dealing with Euro games, travelling etc. It wasn't to be we got to the SF but in the end the season of injuries to major players took its toll on a small squad. BUT he did achieve his objective for his first full season Champions League 4th spot (tick). So are they saying we slept walked into 4th ergo a fluke? Villa/Emery since his arrival had a better winning ratio than MCity. We beat Arsenal twice, MCity once and took points off Liverpool, Spurs...is that flukey too!! This season we did have to address PSR. I think how we managed the loophole with academy players was smart including Luiz who frankly although a very good player was starting to look like he had hit his ceiling and he was ready too for a new challenge and refusing to sign a new contract. So it all worked out for PSR and we picked up two very talented young players who looked promising in preseason matches. Diaby just wasn't the right fit in the end and he, his family weren't happy, so it all worked out, we recouped+ more than we paid AND his family were happy to move to a Muslim country. Post that sake, we have continued to build out our squad with a mix of experience and talent (not finished yet...). And despite getting to the SF and taking 4th we are somehow seen as less than Spurs, Newcastle who btw I do respect but the one that made me 😂 was Chelsea, seriously! Like most Villa fans, we are looking forward to this season, to the style of football and enjoying the challenge of CL and seeing players settle in. Bring it on...
I don't think they've done their homework on anyone to be honest. Might as well ask two random geezers in a pub what they think and you'll get the same amount of insight. S Allardyce is a spiv jist like 'arry Redknapp.
Big Sam can't resist having a dig at 'the West Ham way', he did it when he was the manager. He's also typically sceptical of a less defensive, more positive, possession based approach being more successful, even though West Ham's defensive record under Moyes was bloody awful. Thank God neither he or Moyse are West Ham's manager now. Thankfully Kev is there to provide a more unbiased analysis.
Villa have had top 3 or 4 form since Emery took over best part of 2 years ago. They talk about Villa in the premier league last season like it was a lucky run.
Already played in Europe. 2 big players out from the start of the season, Plus kamara missed just under half a season under half a season all with ligament damage. Ramsey was injured most of the season. 4 keys players missing all ot alot of the season. Rogers will be one to watch this year. We have also improved the height and depth of the squad.
Usual nonsense from big Sam. Saying West Ham have given the new coach a lot of money when Moyes spent near on 500 million whilst at West Ham. Moyes left West Ham with the smallest & oldest squad in the league that is why West Ham are signing up lots of new players, they need to fill the squad. Big Sam should just get over West Ham both him & Moyes played a style of football West Ham fans didn’t like.
Grateful for the trophy but that season in the league we only escaped relegation with a couple of games to play. The 6 th & 7th were early in Moyes West Ham stint as time went on we got worse.
@@lezlane1018 First half of last season we were amazing tbf, injuries and lack of investment in January fucked us imo. But was always time to move on from Moyes.

Sam dismissive of the old West Ham way, so, Ron Greenwood who established the academy in the 1950s maintained by Lyall. He needs to do some serious reading...
Emery has qualified for Europe twice in both seasons he has been at Villa and over his career has qualified for Europe every season since 08/09 which is 16 seasons in a row. Emery has extensive experience juggling the league and European competitions whilst winning the league once and European comps four times in those 16 seasons. With the transfers that have come in, he has already strengthened the teams depth with the likes of Barkley, Philogene, Ndelekjovic, Iling Junior and Barrenechea all starting on the bench plus Ramsey, Buendia and Mings all back from injury to add to the depth so this is nothing like Newcastle who had no depth and a manager who had never played in Europe before. I'm surprised they dropped West Ham one place to 10th........having spent all that money on 8 much better players, they're surely good enough for a European place. The new West Ham squad is becoming every bit as good as Newcastle's or Villa's.
I'm so glad these 2 and others like them are out of West Ham. Allardyce, Moyes, chuck Nolan in there (loved him as a player), can't help themselves from disrespecting the fans and our club all the time. @leehaslam5751 the point being Villa can handle themselves against the top sides so just because they're in the CL this season doesn't mean they'll just fall away to 8th/9th like many are claiming. They're not used to the CL but they did manage to get 4th whilst playing in Europe last season and THE reason Arsenal didn't win the league
For me this is one of the few realistic predictions BUT no one even mentions that Leicester will get a points deduction so are going to have a huge battle! I think Forest may surprise a few people.
@@rjw4762 I fear the deduction will be more than 6. Even if it helps my club i stand by the thought that points deductions are unfair when competing with the Biggest clubs. I'd rather let the players control relegation not the EPL !
I remember Newcastle signing a load of players one season with the Gazza money, John Robertson, John Hendrie, Dave Beasant and Andy Thorne. On paper we looked brilliant but in practice we were shite.
PSR is NOT rubbish! It works very well to protect the richest squads that sit at the top and ensures the exclusive prem super league remains intact. Others may gatecrash from time to time, but until they allowed t build squads of equal depth they will continue to be disadvantaged.
Well you just explained why PSR is rubbish!! Lets protect the big teams and let them finish top 6 yeah, like each season and punish teams who upset the top six like Leicester City, I'm sorry they over performed and ruffeld a few feathers, let them join there super league, so it's an even playing field where ANYBODY can win the league.
Newcastle United that r without injuries last season definitely can go pass group stage of champions league & finish top 4. Oh Well.. injuries r part of the game. #NUFC #ToonArmy
Pep is NOT going into his last season! I wish all these pundits and journalists would stop saying that ! One day they will be right. They have only been repeatedly saying it these last eight years. If they don't buy Toney, Arsenal will not win the league.
Firstly cheers for everything Kev. Great servant to West Ham 🫡⚒️ Sam on the other hand 🫠 What a bellend! Why oh why does he (and Moyes) pretend not to understand what’s meant by the West Ham way. Both having managed our club, they obviously must know about the history (unless they’re utterly ignorant) They’re a couple of wind up merchants I swear! It’s not bloody rocket science anyway. We basically just want to see the team ‘have a good go’ at the opposition (not set up defensively no matter who we play!) and for some youth to be given a chance from the academy. People seem to think we have expectations of watching them play like Brazil and to win the league every year. We don’t! Effort, youth and an attacking mindset. Simples. Also find it interesting how luke warm he is about our transfers and chances this year. It’s clear that Tim Stieden has played an absolute blinder. What a window we’ve had! Strengthening weak areas with a mix of youth and experience. May take a while for the new coach to get them all playing well together, but I for one cannot wait to watch something (anything!) different from what Moyes served up every week. Moyes spent almost half a billion quid and left us with the smallest and second oldest squad in the league, plus the football for the last 18 months was just so so awful to watch. “Careful what you wish for” they all say 🥱Well considering how grateful we were supposed to be for having him, isn’t it funny how no top clubs have come in for him since he became available 🤔 But yes, despite my gripes, I am still very grateful to him and his team for the trophy! 🏆 I’ll be happy with a top half finish and some decent football this season, but ideally a European spot is the goal. COYI ⚒️
Ipswich stay up. Forest Leicester Southampton go down. Ipswich have the right manager and have maintained more or less the same squad. Long as they don’t do a stubborn Kompany Burnley they’ll be fine. While I would love to see City do x5 in a row. I actually think Villa win the league. Villa get knocked out of champs league early, Other teams will figure out Arsenal, and Villa while losing a few have recruited pretty well also. (City fan)
Am biased, but why on earth do you think Forest will go down !? We won't. I like Ipswich and do hope they stay up - but that squad they've kept together was in 3rd Division only 18 months ago. IMHO, Ispwich will be one of 3 favs to go down - to include Sotuthampton and Leicester (- 9 points deduction will not help! ) ....AFCB, Fulham and Brnetford will all struggle as will Everton. I think Forest will finish 15th or 14th - no higher no lower. Bring it on !!!

I'm surprised they dropped West Ham one place to 10th........having spent all that money on 8 much better players, they're surely good enough for a European place. The new West Ham squad is becoming every bit as good as Newcastle's or Villa's.
AS a Villa fan I agree. I actually think this season is going to be fascinating for neutrals and close, very competitive with nothing guaranteed...
Sam is so underprepared it's ridiculous. How can be so clueless about the new manager. Nolan is a legend and very respectful.
Allardyce SO anti-West Ham 😡
@@jaywatsonWHU1895 Dont blame him, got results and idiots like you thought the club were better where it should be
Kevin Nolan WEST HAM LEGEND!!!
I'm so glad these 2 and others like them are out of West Ham. Allardyce, Moyes, chuck Nolan in there (loved him as a player), can't help themselves from disrespecting the fans and our club all the time. The West Ham way is nonsense because you don't understand it. It is not us expecting to play like Barcelona and being a great team. It is about entertainment, we know we have never been very good but always played a way that would entertain the fans and we loved it. Until people like Allardyce destroyed it. These type of managers played the most awful, boring, soul destroying football we have ever had and I'm so glad it's over. Never again.
And by the way, if it wasn’t for Allardyce we may well be insolvent. So I’d personally give him a bit more respect. You jumped up arsehole
Dinosaurs whose opinions are just ramblings like you'll find in pubs up and down the country. No research, no insight. Just a load of stupid clichés and crap jokes.
Get Warnock back on! Absolute Legend. Or Harry Redknapp he'd do!
New manager got rid off the Moyes boring tactics and staff, well done 👏
The only bore here is you
If they didn’t predict West Ham for relegation, I will be surprised. The “Be Careful what you wish for” gang will be surprised this season. COYI
Reality is no-one knows.
@@512Squared You will both scream if in bottom 3
Kevin Nolan in denial , thank god he’s gone. They left an aging depleted squad and wasted 60m on central defenders that let in a ridiculous amount of goals…useless
last season's top 4 man city, arsenal, liverpool and villa. If there was a mini league out of the 4 teams who finished top last season.
Correct Aston Villa would of finished top
Shame they couldn’t beat others….. With Europe and losing players they will struggle this year.
@@AlanBrownPhotography villa manage lost to man United home and away ? But beat arsenal home and away ,
Bang on
And yet u finished 22 points off man city ffs
@leehaslam5751 the point being Villa can handle themselves against the top sides so just because they're in the CL this season doesn't mean they'll just fall away to 8th/9th like many are claiming. They're not used to the CL but they did manage to get 4th whilst playing in Europe last season and THE reason Arsenal didn't win the league
Ask Big Sam about his days for Bolton against Tranmere.
For me this is one of the few realistic predictions BUT no one even mentions that Leicester will get a points deduction so are going to have a huge battle! I think Forest may surprise a few people.
If LCFC get 8-9 points deducted, then I cannot see them escaping ! For starters, they've let Iancchio go and Vardy is 37 !!
Goat of poo comments .worst comment in the history of youtube ...i bet there is a plaque on the way.
1988-89 wasn't it? Such high hopes before a ball was kicked, then we soon discovered never ever count on anything as a Newcastle fan.
Is there anything Kevin Nolan thinks he’s not good at?
That’s some 3 piece suite you’re all sat on!
Sam why/how did you fall INTO football?
In our day it was a GAME we enjoyed
OUTRAGEOUS 😂😂😂 Villa in 8th may come to pass, but based on the commentary thos is crazy🤣
Pep is NOT going into his last season! I wish all these pundits and journalists would stop saying that ! One day they will be right. They have only been repeatedly saying it these last eight years. If they don't buy Toney, Arsenal will not win the league.
Really badly researched - we're not going to play 5 at the back ffs. It's clearly going to be 4-3-3...
Firstly cheers for everything Kev. Great servant to West Ham 🫡⚒️
Sam on the other hand 🫠 What a bellend!
“Careful what you wish for” they all say 🥱Well considering how grateful we were supposed to be for having him, isn’t it funny how no top clubs have come in for him since he became available 🤔
But yes, despite my gripes, I am still very grateful to him and his team for the trophy! 🏆
I’ll be happy with a top half finish and some decent football this season, but ideally a European spot is the goal. COYI ⚒️
Don't think Allydce had a clue about who we've signed or who our manager is
Newcastle definitely going to Champions league next season after acquiring Guehi
PSR! Have you not taken the probable points deductions into account for Leicester and possibly one or two others?!?
Left to oldest and smallest squad in the prem
Very awkward watch , but I still have time for them both ..
What does Sam know?
More than you
Will Pep want to coach a team in the 2nd division 😂😂
Arsenal could be first if not Man City, but definitely not Liverpool who may get top four.
@@rjw4762 You’ll know Forest’s business better than me to be fair, And trust like, I’d rather Fulham, Brentford or Bournemouth get relegated but purely going on how the past two seasons Forest just about did the business to get over the line and I think you guys should of kept Steve Cooper.
I hope I’m wrong but thats my prediction
Uou know ? Who knows you know ? Comeo ipswich ?

You are picking up on her error, Seriously do you want to say anything about these so called pros who basically thought our whole season, 4th was a fluke...and ONE poor season and Emery is gone. Come on...
I call it the League cup, because that's what it is.
Time for an upset. Our Champions League time will end as a learning curve. We can then better our league position over 4th.

Bloody Sam is so sour.. Nolan is obviously and rightfully hurt, think Julen made a mistake letting him go as well.. but Sam just seems bitter. West Ham have done the best transfer business of any team in the league, every other pundit/podcast can see it but nah Sam just bearing old grudges
Glad Olympics is over waste of money causes divides
20th really 😮😮
Moyes spend so much more money and left us with oldest squad with limited quality.
About time the top six joined there rubbish super league, so it's a level playing field again where any team could win the title, instead of punishing teams that upset the top six like Leicester City did when they won the title, PSR and FFP were invented to stop the smaller teams from competing for the title. Leicester won the title so they must be punished.
Big sam talks absolute nonsense, but his presence commands respect to the point that if he's talking you will listen
Truly the grandpa simpsons of english football
Nolan proper West ham legend...aladyce is just a charlatan
Ipswich or Leicester could stay up
