☀️THIRD OFFICER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ON THE SHIP
1.Third officer is responsible for familiar him self with procedure safety management system and comply with same
2.Third Officer is responsible for on duty when condition as follow :
A.Vessel on sail : to conduct OOW for watch keeping at bridge ( watch : 08-12 and 20-24 hours schedule )
B.Vessel on anchor : to conduct of officer on duty for anchor watch assist by AB duty ( safety around made and security patrol )
C.Vessel at berth : to assist chief officer of cargo operation, safety and security also mooring line watch to be maintained.
3.Third Officer is responsible for assist to master for ship document and port formality when vessel arrival / departure time ( crew list , safe manning cert, port clearance, stowage plan, loading plan, cargo document, crew document-crew certificate, passport, seaman book )
4.Third Officer is responsible for LSA / FFA inventory keep up and maintenance procedure, cargo system spare and store maintained on board as directed by chief officer
5.Third Officer is responsible for guide for the embarkation and disembarkation of pilot / drawing of pilot card also handle of the telegraph / bell book comply while vessel on berthing / unberthing operation
6.Third Officer is responsible for carried out safety drill, security drill and emergency respond as per procedure and directed by command or control
7.Third Officer is responsible for maintained all meteorological equipment and log and ensure dispatch of weather report from vessel from regular basis
8.Third Officer is responsible for maintained good order all flag, signaling equipment, regulation light and shape
9.Third Officer is responsible for assist chief officer in day by day work regard by ship operational routine and duties preparation of report and returns as required
10.Third officer is responsible to comply with applicable terminal, port, dock safety and STCW regulation.
