Thank you for creating these videos for this camera. Without them I would have probably returned mine thinking it’s broke 😁 I’ll definitely watch your videos on what accessories I could get.
    Thanks again!

Very helpful video. I was having trouble putting the shutter release button to the locking position. I didn't know you had to press the little lever down, the one with the dot on it, to lock it, thus disengaging the battery. Thanks for posting. I'm a new subscriber.

Nice video series! I'm looking for medium film camera, but i can't decide between rz67 and 645pro. RZ67 has nice features like rotating back and 6x7 is better for scanning but it is heavy, big and has that strange focusing mechanism with light compensation chart. 645 is more compact and looks simpler to me. I'm an automotive photographer and i shoot with modern fullframe dslr because i shoot many action scenes like car racing etc. But for steady shooting it would be nice to use mamiya medium film slr. I thought about pentax 645, but changeable back is a must. Do you have any experience with mamiya 645 cameras?

If you shoot anything moving do not use film. You will die with trying to focus. If you still are interested for medium format go for a digital one like phase one or hasselblad even the H2.

Actually i want to use medium format only for static objects, when i cat shoot slowly and think on every exposure i take. Sadly digital medium is out of my budget.

The cameras like H2 and the 645 have their digital versions that are able to work with film. The cameras aren't that much expensive.
I have used the 645 cameras, but up to somehow its kinda a fat DSLR, I really like the idea of using a Waist Level Viewfinder, it does give you a different feeling when shooting something, so if you want to experience something new, or have a different feeling in your shooting, go for the RZ. It is heavy, it will slow you down, you will feel like you are using a real machine to take photographs, you will love the size of the negatives, and everyone will keep their mouths open while you are shooting with that beast. The 645 does not have that much impact on your shooting or when other people sees you, or even the shooting style, its almost the same as any dslr.

Julio Ryuuzaki Thank you! I'm going with RZ. That "new" kind of slow and thoughtful shooting is exactly what i'm looking for.

I noticed from the other videos that you might have an electronics background, do you know the pins for the lens, what each is for? I've been playing with the idea of making a housing for them and a digi back

+Michael Bradley I don't have a background more than I liked to open stuff when I was a kid. I have requested for the repair manuals used by the repair shops not just for lens but also for te camera pins, and they usually just come with part numbers, and not diagrams of the circuits. I wanted to find a way to turn on the green led and use it on a custom ad-on.

Julio Ryuuzaki if you ever find out pin names or use, circuit part easy for me. I was curious because I like your up/down counter, as well as you photoshop box with the three knobs. I have one I made as well with microcontroller emulating keyboard. My main goal is trying to figure out the electronic shutter in the lens. I am on the fence about getting the RZ so I can reverse it.

+Michael Bradley Yeah! I've seen is an electro magnetic Switch, it has two levels, one is to activate the security checks and the other one is for triggering. Once done it could be adapted to trigger the camera with IR, radio or Bluetooth. But I really don't have any idea of how the 4 pin works, I have tried to short them and test continuity and resistance, I think one of the pin gives you some voltage and another is ground but I have no idea.
