Sweet plane/engine set-up. Looks like top notch work. This Edge engine is rock solid performance and reliability. GravityKingFlying proves that in his incredible mountain flying with this turbo Egde set up.
Right at 14:12, looks like the oil cooler is supported only by the top mounts? Not necessarily bad, but on my S-7S, I found one support flange cracked and almost broken (at 1200 hours, stock 912S) I replaced and strengthened it, and no issues since with more then double the hours. But when I do a walk around I usually reach in the cowl and give it a wiggle, easy enough to do, that and I do the same with the tail pipe, just something to be aware of.

Yup; A Rans S7,20,21, can't decide on tandem or side by side, I believe would be near to if not at the top of my list! Sorry Jeff, I just don't like green though. Probably some combo of red & white or maybe blue for me. Ha ha

Very cool but I still don't see how experimental aircraft is the way to go. You can pu used aircraft for less than $35,000 plus $15,000 for flight school. Still way cheaper than buying and building your own.
Not me! Thoroughly disgusted w/ Rotax and their finnicky, over-priced engines. Great little plane, just not my choice of power plants. If a plane had a Rotax and I bought it, I'd be figuring out how to replace it w/ just about anything else. As a fellow pilot, I'd like the noise issue to be addressed, as most of the criticisms I hear about aviation are noise complaints. Everyone that flies out of a local municiple airfield knows what I'm talking about. Home owners that start crying about noise from an airfield that was in its current location years to decades before those homes were built nearby, but suddenly they want their peace and quiet. smh Those complaints would be less a problem if ALL pilots would assume their responsibiliity for their horribly obnoxious exhaust "systems" - and by exhaust I refer to most w/ open pipes. Not a single pilot reading this would put up w/ that crap from an automobile operating on your local street, would you?! How about some type of mufflers being mandated for civil aircraft, to help dispell the ire surrounding our beloved hobby? A little diplomacy goes a long way.
I've been flying with a Swiss muffler (plus the standard 912S Rotax muffler) for years. No loss of power, and it weighs about 6 pounds. It makes my plane the quietest people have ever heard.....easy. You have it wrong on the Rotax BTW, I reached the 2000 hour TBO with ZERO issues, am now a further 700 hours, while doing a fraction of the official recommended maintenance (Rotax is extremely conservative), it's also inherently one of the quietest power plants out there, thanks to low prop speeds due to the reduction gear, and the water cooling. I was dragged kicking and screaming into the Rotax camp, 12 years ago, now there is nothing I'd rather fly with. 3.2 GPH helps.

Man, these videos have me really growing appreciation for Rans aircraft. Flew an S7 a few weeks ago, smooth ride.

Most lmpressive engine! N performance value for money! Also , they are designed to run on mogas , but will accept/tolerate avgas!

Turbochargers are extremely effective sound dampeners 😃
