  • On the sixth day of our eight-day trip to India, we chartered a cab in Aurangabad to take a tour of the Ajanta and Ellora Caves, a World Heritage site in the suburbs. This video is the first part of the tour.
Renowned Japanese novelist Yukio Mishima visited Ajanta in 1967. It seems that Yukio Mishima was impressed by Ajanta. The main character of his novel "The Temple of Dawn" (1970) had a spiritual experience at Ajanta. Watch the video to see what that adjanter is like.

      Thank you.
      I visited there October 19th.
Why do you think they had a mela at that time?

@@user-gb6zd3sh9r hmm its hard to answer that because am not from that state/province/region in India.
Local fairs are held around same time each year in the same place for many days/weeks!
Usually associated with some local occations or such.
Umm I guess same like there in Japan
      hinamatsuri?
Having food stalls, game booths like throwing balls and shooting at baloons and rides like ferriswheel!
My hometown for example has a local fair which happens during June-July associated with celebrating the worshipping of some Gods around that time!
Specially when was a kid, I have many fond memories of visiting fairs😄❤️ and waiting another year for it to be back again! ♡
