Sigiriya Rock: A Journey to the Top of Sri Lanka's Lion Rock

On the fourth day of my eight-day trip to Sri Lanka, I climbed the World Heritage Site of Sigiriya Rock, the biggest destination of the trip. At the top of the 195-meter-high Sigiriya Rock, which rises abruptly out of the jungle, are the ruins of a palace built 1,500 years ago. The entrance fee to Sigiriya is a whopping $36, or about 5,600 Japanese yen. Is Sigiriya really worth it?
