FOCUS ON HOMES INSTEAD OF BUSINESS
For real!
Yes. 40 hrs of no power in Wharton.
@UnkyJofus i was hoping the path of it would've made it miss wharton, tx, with y'all having many stores & the buc-ee's. But alas, it was just too big of a storm 😢😢!
Na focus on business so everyone who has no power at home will goto work, thus economy doesn't suffer
People do need gas station and Propane stores open (to get fuel for generators).
I went 7 days without power during the Derecho in May. And I went 3 weeks without power back during Ike.
My sympathies to those without power. I got mine back about 5 hours ago and invited those without power to run extension cords and/or come over to cool down.
I'm averaging one major (3+ days) power outage every 6 years since 2000.
I think Centerpoint is not doing a good job of communicating power restoration schedules and priorities.
They do have 12,000 repair people in town. The reason they couldn't start earlier in part was they first had to assess what was safe to turn back on. Rushing turning on power could cause fires, or shock people and workers fatally.
With a smile on her face. Centerpoint should be held accountable. And legal action should be taken.
Totally agree ...this is the consequence of monopoly
And they just took their damn time , people will die of heat
Imagine living in 2024 and still using a 1940’s grid system. This was a category 1, now imagine a category 4 or 5 hurricane.
I’m without power with my 5 kids. Generator won’t be here for couple days. Thx CenterPoint
I wish you the best in this unfortunate situation
Do you realize they have to stage outside of potential damage path, which requires them to stage and not respond until after the storm? If they staged in the storms path, then they may not be able to come help you at all
How long do you think it takes to stage and access? I was in the military and I know the drill! It doesn’t take that long. They know what they are doing.
@@JimMorrison-py6tf it takes a day to convoy and access a situation. No less accept if you are deployed. This is basic civilian BS.
They do not understand nor do they care, otherwise they’d been ready and staged several days before. Stop the lies!
Yeah… I haven’t seen a single truck actually doing work on the lines in Montgomery County. I’ve seen them driving around, sitting in parking lots, and sleeping in Hotels with 30 trucks in the parking lot. Not repairing the down line to my elderly parent’s home. Looking forward to the next 10 days.
I haven’t even seen a truck period! Like no lies! The only truck I did see 8 hours ago was an Xfinity truck but there wasn’t even any power on for them to be there 😖
Man that sucks for y’all power came on literally the day after at like 7 PM sucks dude now to be fair edit I live in Spring branch so that’s probably why
Am losing days of work .. hurry up!!!
Well they need to hurry up,because I pay my light bill on time,
They have a monopoly, so their lack of preparedness matters not. Crews should have been staged ready to get to work immediately. I live in Richmond, and at places like River point church and Home Depot in Rosenberg, 50+ trucks in each location just sitting. I asked one of the drivers what was going on, and he said they were waiting for instructions because they don’t know where to go. Most of them had been here since Monday afternoon when it was still raining.
But guaranteed they will charge you even if you have no power.
To fully understand you have to go through it or be going through it and if you got power and you say you understand you don’t
December January last year, Center point energy again fell short and caused millions of people to become mad. In this storm, which we experienced in the summer and whose future was announced days ago, its inadequacy was proved once again. Is Houston doomed to this inadequate company? Won't there be a penalty and sanction for this? Most simply, who is responsible for the deterioration of our food in the refrigerator and freezer of me and millions like me, so that people cannot stay in their homes in this heat?
I had the hardest time trying to get to work from West Lake Houston this morning coming down Will Clayton to get to the airport
Criminals
It wasnt even raining vefore my neighborhoods power went out, it has never went out that fast. We need some better quality stuff around here.
these reports are bogus
So basically without power everything goes back to the dark ages😅
Where is ABBOTT and CRUZ??? VACATIONING!!
😡😡😡
My neighborhood got power, but after about 5 mins, a tree a few houses down hit a transformer, and we lost power again. The house directly across from he has power, but we don’t. It’s awful
My son came from San Antonio. He works with the light company there. They’re staying on the outskirts of Houston to help. Some fools broke into their trucks. So 3 guys had to stay back to talk to police. It you see someone doing stop it. Those could have been out working to fix power.
tomorrow1.6 M are without power in the state? in Houston? The reporting is terrible
Come to Chinatown. After hospitals Chinese restaurants are the most important.
WHy are they skipping apartment complexes in Pasadena seems like majority of the city is back up except some of the most densely populated areas like apt complexes?
Centerpoint shame on you. No bonuses for bigwigs. 😮
Must get ready ahead of time!
Ready ahead of time. Do you have enough money to buy those who can’t afford it generators! I don’t think so
@@w.d.gaster8872 They’ll give you some credit. They are cheaper than motel rooms + the worry. Look around at solar generators and lil roll around AC units
RIOT
Gotta be prepared.
Texas freedom. Lol
I say riot!!!
Update... we still have no idea.
Don't give me the gibberish you work for the power company you have power. You are not doing without. These people should have been on standby.I'm tired of all the excuses because you dropped the ball.
Man
And where is Abbott? Another fine Republican, who can’t get the job done. Instead, he’s out of the United States, knowing full well that Texas was going to be impacted by this hurricane.
And this is why I refuse moved to Houston
Smart. I live in the Houston area..I'm done with this bs
Stafford 😅Texas has no power ❤❤❤
21st century. SMH
🤡🏆🇺🇸Thank God I bought that Trump MAGA Bible and stocked up on lot's of MAGA Kool-aid,
my family will be saved
I beat medicare!
@@Soulfulvision1111 you should have gotten a solar generator and lil air conditioner
@DelPiero2004 When, you're a star, they let you do it. You can do anything, grab them by the p**** anything!
It’s a blue city how do you blame trump under Biden presidency?
Ppl who come to national disaster posts to get political in the chat is nasty work it’s a no for me
