Every mechanic worth his salt knows your better off buying about 6 different brands of scanners that are around 2k each. One does something the other doesn't. Everytime!
I’m starting up my own shop and my mind is boggled on which brand scanner I should start with. I’ve used the old school tech 2 and also an autel maxisys ultra. Do you have any recommendations? Thank you for your time!
Nice scan tool except my issue is with snap on scanners is capabilities and software. I currently have a verus edge with 22.2 version and can't retract rear calipers on a 2020 altima
@@maximejette7674 Autel can’t do gm rear hvac functions. It doesnt have Honda map sensor pid. Doesn’t have Honda fuel tank pressure pid. The list goes on. Autel isn’t really better over all per say, it’s just priced REALLY good. The updates are $500 more a year than snapon for the Ultra. I own a Ultra and a Verus Edge and constantly put them head to head. That being said the ultra gets used more.
Just got pitched my old Zeus and 4800 out the door. I'm thinking of doing it because my Zeus is like 5-6 years old and you never know when it might brick itself.
@@michaelsaier92 keep in mind it’s the same scanner as the plus just faster nothing change but the speed and 1000 more then the old one. My opinion keep it n buy the new one if u like a 2nd scanner comes handy I would wait for a completely different type of scanner when it comes n the future.
Shits a joke, I don't wanna pay 2k for a glorified Apple IPad with a speciality connection and software that is downloadable and can use on my laptop or hell now even on your phone lol but 12k for something like this is a just a joke
I understand the hardware is better but I like the fact the scope is on the tool on the original Zeus. The scan module is small enough to fit in my pocket so I don't need it on the tool. There are already enough cables when I'm testing components I don't need another one and another black box to put somewhere but I'll probably buy one 🤣
Two much money for a scanner there are numbers of scanners that can do the same am not saying snap on isn’t good there PRODUCTS is Great I just think after using there scanners and other scanners some do more than others maybe if they bring their prices down I might just buy one 😊

Exactly there is not one single scanner that will do it all you gotta have different scanners for different functions
I'd still buy it I have the Zeus
@@lwidinaguilar245 I understand that. Talked to my guy yesterday. Looks like I can get the Zuess down to about 74 hundred.

Thanks Snap-on 🇺🇸 can't wait to swop my Snap-on Zeus with it
Thank you

Can this scan tool work on Japanese Toyotas. Is the intelligent diagnostics also available for the toyotas
🤔Why couldn't Snap On do this to the original Zeus
Because then there would be no reason to make another
@@onelife3048 my point exactly.....but did we really need a Versus over the Modis edge🤔
Basically you are getting updated hardware.

I wished the scope had been built into the scanner itself.
When does this hit the trucks?

It should be out already I got mine Friday !! 🤗🤗
