Asus ROG Delta S review: Hi-res audio that's awesome for Tidal

- This is a review of the Asus Rog Delta S, a lightweight USB-C gaming headset with some interesting features that include Hi-Res ESS 9281 QUAD DAC, MQA rendering technology, RGB lighting, D-shaped ergonomic earcups and much more besides.
Note that I used the microphone for the voice over on this video, so that gives you an idea of the quality of that. Check the end of the video to hear the differences the AI Noise-Cancelling Microphone settings make (spoilers - they make it worse).
Features of the Asus Rog Delta S include:
Customisable, multi-colour RGB lighting on the earcups
A USB-C connection with USB-C to USB-A adapter - making it compatible with PC, Switch and PlayStation
A detachable microphone
D-Shaped ear cushions that "ensure a perfect fit" - i.e. they're ear shaped
Both protein leather and Hybrid earcups included in the box (swappable)
A lightweight 300g design that's comfortable to wear all day
Hi-res 92KHz, 24 bit audio in Windows
MQA rendering technology that works with Tidal mastered audio tracks (i.e. awesome songs)
7.1 virtual surround sound
Highlights:
Really really comfortable
Fantastic for music
Good connectivity options (though no 3.5mm)
Low lights:
Short USB-C cable
Terrible mic (worse with settings turned on)
Game audio requires a LOT of tweaking to get right and lacks bass as standard

Do your asus delta s after the lastest update can connect pc and phone , but no sound out from the headset and will show ( ESS USB AUDIO ) because normally is show ROG DELTA S right?

HI! If i get a hi res headset do i need to connect a "hi res" phone or a flac file is enough for music listening?
The headphones do not work with my Android phone, it does not recognize it as headphones, only Tidal recognizes it, but they are heard with the high volume and I cannot lower the volume, can they help me?

What killed it for me was no 3.5mm headphone support.
Shouldn't you turn off virtual surround sound if you want more natural bass? Seeing how it usually expands the soundstage and make it easier to hear treble noises compared to bassy ones.
does the Deezer have MQA ? i mean i have been using this headphones with Deezer but Rog app does not recognise MQA

I'm waiting for better internet 😭😭 we moved house and the internet is shocking. The ISP is taking ages to roll out improved broadband. Sadly. Could be 6 weeks before I'm streaming again 🤐

If you're not streaming online live constantly the RGB is a bit of a waste IMO Many other headphones that will do the same job for less than half the price
How about the clamping force? Read some reviews saying its too loose and causing sound leak
I'd say, the clamp is loose indeed, but that also means it is less painful on the temples. The issue is in that they rest on your ears, rather than the clamp force on your head. Makes your ears hurt, rather than your temples hurt lol.
Such a nice review but I don't know why most of the gaming headsets drivers look like toys for kids!
