I worked with your dad for a good few years, such a lovely chap. He introduced me to your music and I had a couple of Onions cassettes. Always told him they reminded my of a mix of Zappa and Talking Heads(‘ish). My two children still know most of the words to the songs. Learnt on our holiday trips down to surf in Cornwall in the 1990’s. Brian was always so positive about everything and proud of you. 👍🏼
Thanks The Chuckriver! Yes that sounds pretty accurate-a bit of King Crimson as well! That's certainly a lot of words to learn! Yes Brian was a fount of positivity
@@ecosticksoh yes, KingCrimson definitely in the mix as well. My cousin played drums with them after leaving Yes. He always had a jazz influence in prog rock era. The last time I saw him performing, about 20 years back, he was ‘Bill Brufords Earthworks’ definitely pure jazz drums. Your Onions used jazz ‘technicality’ to great use, I have really enjoyed listening to the music again. Thank you for the music.
@@ecosticksyes Bill. You do on the guitar what he did on the drums. Brian and I worked together on the IsleoW for about 10 years, interesting times developing some great technology. Looked at a few more of your TH-cams, it’s wonderful to see you passing on your skills and enthusiasm to your children, well done looking after our future. I will point my grandchildren towards your Rhythems sevens.
@@TheChuckRiver Ah yes, I actually have another channel for kid’s stuff called ‘the daisy moon project’ but sometimes I uploaded to the wrong channel! So I really need to know …. did Bill ever check out the Onions stuff?
Beautiful, emotional and powerful Sheldon - thank you so much. It evokes many memories of Brian and delightful, spirited times spent with him and your mother. Lovely to learn that the luthier has heard/seen this too. Warm wishes to you & your family, Tony.
Well spotted big Monday! The shock mount is broken and if the microphone is touching the metal I get a weird earth buzz. Most of the sound comes from a much nicer mic that is out of shot. The one you can see just adds a bit of ambience to the sound.

Hello Ro! Well you seem to be popping up everywhere at the moment, thanks for dropping by!

Magical Sheldon.

Hey Paul, Thanks for that!
@@ecosticks no worries
Nice playing 👍
Thanks Ellis
sounds great! and great playing! But, why is your mic dangling from the shock mount 😭
Ah the shock mount is broken and when it touches the metal it hums! So I just dangle it!!
