This video is one of the reasons I love Eluid so much. He has such a wholesome life with his farm and animals and family. You can tell he runs because he loves it- the sponsorship and money are just bonuses. It’s different from so many pro athletes nowadays, especially in America
I completely agree. It was so sweet listening to him and his lovely wife, very well matched. I don’t know how anyone can not like him. Since Monza his credibility in this challenge is off the charts. Eliud, may all your dreams come true.
Real hero, NOT a comic book hero. He is has been inspiring for the last 4 years. I couldn't run 1 km, now I can run 10k within 1 hr. Keep inspiring Eluid, you are the greatest.

Helps me remember how running competitively got me out of depression and at one point living in my car. I’m past that now but every marathon training cycle I go through I always remember how far I’ve come. Thank you for the humbleness that also keeps me in check. I can always try harder.

the Physio says something very important, and it's about pain management in extreme distances, something that all great champions excel at. If you can't manage that pain you won't be able to compete, it's not just about running technique, because after a certain amount of running you can be sure things will start burning and it will get INTENSELY painful.
True, in order to improve and/or be great there is such a huge amount of pain that you have accept more than manage I would say. If you can’t accept this suffering there is no need to try.
I really admire this person who's very humble and a top class athlete. I actually laughed and cried while watching him especially his loved for farming, running and his family.

We all know he's an incredible athlete, but what I really appreciated about this video is his human side, how humble he is, how caring he's with his family and how his family is so supportive even though he has to spend most of the time away from home. His wife looks adorable. They deserve happiness!

Man Eliud is truly my idol.. i have provably never had a rode model that i truly believe in but Eliud is someonewho i admire so much.. i run 4 times a week and drink maybe once or twice week.. which obiviously doesnt help my progression but i am honestly into the who running and aspire to achieve PBs like you have for yourself

I think Kipchoge and Courtney Dauwalter are my fav athletes. Not just because they are amazing at what they do, but also because of who they are as people.
Courtney Dauwalter is so humble as well. Really in a league of her own in ultra running but you'd never know it talking to her. Hope she does well at Western States this weekend
