Bomb Rush Cyberfunk Just Dropped A Stealth Update With Great Changes!

- To my surprise yesterday, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk got an update which hasn't been addressed publicly by Team Reptile yet. There are no complete details on all of the changes yet, but there are some significant ones I noticed that I wanted to bring the attention to everyone playing!
These changes make me excited for upcoming updates that will make this game the best that it can be!

TL;DW
-- taxi stops and port-a-potties are now marked on the map and mini-map
-- red felix is now part of the cypher roster and is playable post-game
-- you can now shuffle and loop songs
-- changing areas no longer autoplays that area's song
-- pause menu shows total amount and total collected of collectibles i.e. graffiti, songs, outfits

@@RisingSonic17 Exactly I agree 100%! I’m hoping that at some point we get New Game +. BRC is definitely one of my favorite games to play so it’s nice too see the devs trying to make the game even better!

Red Felix was already in the game but he was in the same character select slot as Red. Scrolling one way would show Red and the other way would show Red Felix. It was slightly hidden and it was a cool little hint to their connection to each other in the plot but now both have their own slots which is fine.

Uh, idk if you're remembering that right, I have the game open right now (not updated yet) and there's no way to play as Red Felix. Scrolling either way just shows normal Red, no matter how many times I loop through the roster.
@@SoLunickno it’s true, you just have to find his skin to unlock him. I unlocked him without knowing
@@myshouzuhouse from what I looked at online, it seems like unlocking Red Felix was either caused by, or broken by, some kind of bug, as most posts say that they saw him in the cypher once before he disappeared, or that he's not unlockable without mods. Either way, he's not in my 100% save file that's for sure.

this is awesome, the music changes make me want to collect more of the CDs now, minimap indicators and stuff in the pause menu were a necessity so glad they added that and red felix is icing on the cake great patch i love when game devs release updates that prove they are actually in tune with the community playing the game
For real. I am surprised it took so long to have Red Felix in the roster but I'm glad to see my man's is playable normally now.
And now with the change to see how many collectibles are in the game, I feel more inclined to wanna 100% the game more now.

Which is great, especially when things are things people have been asking for since release.
Steam right now is the testing grounds for the update so they can be sure it's stable for the console releases too. Probably wanna have everything ready and going smoothly for the physical release of the game.

Now we really need a manual save! That's honestly the only thing I ask for them now, the autosave in the game is really wonky, at the time of release I had to redo the last section of the game 3 TIMES because my game just didn't want to save after I finished the story mode?? Ever since that fiasco happened to me I've been really worried while unlocking characters because I fear I might have to redo their challenges again lol
I agree that the autosaves can definitely be super jank time to time. It would be nice to have the option for a manual save just in case
i get they tried to keep the UI stuff to a minimum but damn the minimap needed those markers man.

This dropped either today or yesterday on PlayStation but the only thing missing is Red Felix. Everything else got added in.
Red Felix seems to be bugged still. Hopefully that can be fixed soon
The quality of life stuff is fantastic and I’m so glad they’re focusing on it (nearly all of my issues with the game on launch have been fixed), but I really hope they’re cooking up a new content update or even DLC, I’d love to see some new areas to explore
They mentioned not having DLC. If anything, if we get more BRC content, it would be in the form of a sequel.
But yeah I agree, a lot of the issues I had at launch have mostly been fixed
It's funny that the modders already did some of these changes to the game lol. But I'm glad they added stuff that modders didn't get to do like having the song continue after loading and the collectibles indicator. Hopefully there will be more new updates in the future with more characters and audio for the Oldheads lol.
Someone else confirmed with me that the Oldhead do now have voices.
They elderly can now speak.
But yeah, I imagined they definitely saw some of the mods made and decided to implement these themselves. Hey, I ain't complaining

yooooo glad to see reptile's taking the communities suggestions, i remember people talking about how they should keep the song through loading areas, and that things should be marked on the map, also that they should show collectables in the pause menu, so props to them for taking the player's opinion and making an effort to do well by their community
It helps builds a nice relationship with your community members when you're able to hear things out to make the game better
@@RisingSonic17 team reptile has shown the community that they are listening and appreciate those who share the same passion about their game, embracing the players' opinions and their efforts to expand the game through mods, going so far as to implement features from popular mods (eg. Songs continuing through loading zones, costume swap & taxi stops being displayed on the map etc.) If so.e community made additions were added, I look forward to what else reptile may decide to include in the future, maybe official multi-player integration and dedicated servers, maybe more move styles, or tweaks to existing ones, if they take a good approach, anything may be possible

Team Reptile doesn’t miss. They know! They literally heard all the QoL feed back and didn’t even think much about it. They just said “oh yea, bet” and put it RIGHT in.

Yeah that's right. We still don't have Faux playable. Maybe for the next update he'll be playable. We don't have the Dot.exe boss either I don't think
Faux doesn't have full voice lines as it stands, they can just port the ones from Red without a filter over his voice I'm sure.

I wouldn't be too surprised if playable Faux is planned for a future update or potentially an expansion.
Might even get cyberhead/android Faux or an AKUMU-styled version of his boss form alongside it if DLC is in the works
Always found it weird that they didn't have a counter for the collectibles, I felt like gamedevs would like players to 100% the game, so it seemed counterproductive.

Seeing which mods become popular and then incorporating those improvements in official updates is a great way to focus development on features that players actually want. I wish more companies did this.

Yeah I removed some mods now that we have this in the base game.

@VocalEcho you going to go into Steam and open the properties section for BRC. You'll see an option in there that says beta where you'll opt in
looking forward to when the game releases physically december 1st on console with all the QoL updates

Low key kinda want them to had faux to be playable for post game. Kinda makes no sense why you can't.

i started playing this masterpiece this month and i saw some mods to shuffle songs and pinpoint the taxi and toilets in the map i was like "isn't it already in the game??" now it makes sense XD

soap shoes, masked Felix, Faux, full customization for dotexe, free dlc music and many other things can be added for Da People to make the game a lot better
(even when this changes make nothing on gameplays)

Fucking finally, I really needed sometimes the fast travel for postgame challenges and unlockables and finding the taxi was almost impossible.

I want a new game plus so we can play as everyone we unlocked before starting. The games got a decent run time for the type of gane that it is so replaying is not an issue. Id know because Ive been wanting to play again but Im waiting for my switch and PS5 physical copies to show up. Lol

Currently Red Felix's unlock condition is glitched so he's not properly appearing for everyone

Thats actually still a problem I'm experiencing myself.
I have him on one save file, but he doesn't appear on another save file I have.
Have they fixed the switch bug where you couldn’t unlock the oldheads?
That I don't know yet. My main platform is on Steam.

To correct you, red Felix was playable in the previous patch. The map and other stuff seems new tho.
He was sharing a slot, but he wasn't a separate slot beforehand. Now he is.

@SilverAg. he was sharing the same character space as Red so you could not pick him separately in the Cypher normally.
Now he doesn't share a slot and you Can choose him from a separate slot normally

I just got done with the game. How did yoy get all those characters? I have like the 4 or 5 characters to chose from.
There is a character in every level of the game that you can unlock.

Little Heads up, the sheath patch is on the beta branch of the game where they do experimental crap all the time before they move it over to stable and have an ACTUAL patch, if you want to try the new features just switch your build to the beta

It was a bug before hand, but now he has his own separate slot
Something I’ve noticed is Benni (taxi driver) has gotten lines when you enter and leave the taxi!
Oh yeah that got added in the very first patch they did for this game!

These additions would have been nice before I beat the game. I never used taxi to fast travel because I couldn't find a fucking taxi anywhere
A simple, simple, simple mod that makes this game 10000x better is the instant style switch mod, and it would be so simple to add to the base game. I feel like just like DMC 3, style switch should have been in this game since the beggining because the game plays way, way better with it implemented. I hope upon hope that one day they put it in the base game.
