"eddie" is the iconic mascot for iron maiden and has appeared on every album cover...something like 40 albums
This was from 2011 so he’d have been 53. He’s 63 this year.

As with Nightwish, Iron Maiden is an epic experience, so Maiden is best served LIVE.
Fun fact, main composer behind Maiden is the bassist, Steve Harris. One of his favorite albums is Imaginaerum, by Nightwish. There's even a photo of Steve and Tuomas together.

About the song, it's about a trooper (a soldier of the old British Imperial Army) and the battle of Balaclava, of the Crimean War. The song is inspired on Alfred Tennyson's poem, The Charge of the Light Brigade. It depicts the cavalry charge, very outnumbered charge, of the British Light Brigade against a battery of Russian guns (guns, as in canons).

Iron Maiden is beyond everything when it comes to metal. The greatest of all times. I'm from Brazil, and every time Iron Maiden comes to Brazil, they get a gigantic arena or a football( soccer) stadium completely crowded, I'm taking about one hundred thousand people screaming as loud as they can. 😁😁😁
Bruce is also a licensed pilot who's flown the Iron Maiden jet to their shows
If you want to hear classic young Bruce live, you have to check out “Hallowed Be Thy Name” at Hammersmith in 1982. The band was young, raw and mind blowing!
Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and Scorpions who are the three biggest influence bands of the mid to late 80s for all of Heavy Metal all have twin guitars and utilized the twin harmony. There was over half a million fans at this show.

Traditionally Iron Maiden was a 2 guitar band. Adrian Smith (the one with the bandanna) left in 1990 and was replaced by Jannick Gers (the one with the bullet belt). He was brought back in 2000, but Jannick stayed: 3 guitarists. Seems to work.

As i know song is about that event from nineteen century. Flag is classical Union Jack (UK flag) and Bruce is wearing replica of soldiers uniform blouse from the times (red one).
And last - for some time Bruce had his own band and was no part of IM (they had diffrent singer). When he returned to Maiden he took guitarist (probably his buddy) from that band into IM as a part of the deal. So now Iron Maiden are 3 guitars instead of oryginal two (plus other band members ofc).
You're close, but not quite on the story of Maiden's guitar trio. The "classic" 80s lineup had two guitarists, Dave Murray and Adrian Smith. Adrian actually left Iron Maiden in 1990, three years before Bruce left. He was replaced with Janick Gers. Bruce left in 1993, replaced with Blaze Bayley, who didn't go over really well with the fans. In 1999, both Adrian and Bruce returned to Maiden. Janick offered to leave when Adrian returned, but Steve Harris told him no, and that he always thought it would be cool to have three guitars.
Trooper is based on Charge of the Light Brigade of the British when Great Britain with its ally, France in Crimean War against Russia 1853 to 1856. Steve Harris, founder of Iron Maiden is also main songwriter loved history especially involves his country England. You have mentioned about 3 guitars. Let me summarized on it. Adrian Smith. one of their guitarist left Iron Maiden for personal reasons. So, he was replaced by another named Janick Gers. Then Adrian came back to Iron Maiden. Instead of removing Janick from the band, they kept him in the band. Janick shares leads with other 2 guitarists: Dave Murray and Adrian Smith. They are known by Maidens' fans as "Three Amigos"
hello, I went to that concert, it was not as many people as usual, little more than 50,000 tickets were sold. Now they are coming 60,000 per concert and should perform two dates in the same stadium. greetings from Chile.

For most of their career they always had two lead guitarists, but when one left they had to bring in another to replace him. Then some time later he wanted back in and they decided to go with three instead firing the guy who came in.

I'm dissapointed that you didn't recognise the most known iconic flag in the world ,the British flag . Even us supposedly backward Aussies know that it is more recognised than the U S Flag .So its sort of a hint that Iron Maiden is a (pommie)British band, you know! from England! Well, Iron Maiden is one of the few bands that always need more space for their crews. The love between the band and their fans is so great in Chile (and in the rest of the world), that fans can leave everything aside to be in Maiden's show. (I say this because it's not easy for us, the people who don't live in the Metropolitan area, to reach the capital city for a concert.) But the love for and of Maiden is amazing. No matter the problems that could have for coming to Chile, they always begin a Latinamerican tour here, at the end of the world, and we always thank them for that. [BTW, we have huge language barriers, but the band always knows how to communicate with their fans lml).
And about the three guitarists: Once upon a time, Bruce left the band because he wanted to do her solo career. Jannik Gears (the man in black with white sneakers) was her guitar man in that project. Then, Bruce returned to Maiden and, as Adrian Smith (the black no-sleeve shirt) had gone for a while, Janick took his place. Time passed on and Andrian wanted to come back and, as Iron Maiden is a family with solid bounds, Andrian was admitted again, but Janick didn't leave. So, we have three lead guitars now. 😁

Bruce is in amazing shape here, he have always been, but looking at a young Bruce, you will see him run a lot more around the stage, a real powerhorse!! and there is also a stand named after him, where he stand with legs wide spead... this Bruce looks good, young Bruce is insane!!

There was a different singer in the 70s but then close to the 80s Bruce Dickinson took his place and became the singer of Iron Maiden. The trooper came out in 1983

They sound different as compared to the studio obviously you change over time, the guitars sound more melodic with the harmony.
