no matter what country you go to in the entire world youll find people that cant speak english at all but CAN sing every word of a Maiden song....there are 250,000 screaming fans at this concert singing along with every song so bruce and the boys must be doing something right

If you want to put Dickinson's talent and place among the greats in perspective, watch him perform Children of the Damned live in 1982 (TH-cam: Iron Maiden[HD] Children Of The Damned 1982 Live UK) and then again 35 years later (TH-cam: Iron Maiden - Children Of The Damned (The Book Of Souls: Live Chapter). I saw both in concert those years, and there isn't much drop-off, if any. The last time I saw him live (2019) was the most impressive of the 18 Maiden shows I've been to, and he was 61 years old, coming off throat cancer.

This concert was 500k people in attendance and concert was televised with 1 billion viewers. The maiden family is strong. Been to 3 concerts, so much love and comradeship. It’s crazy. Long live maiden!

Just got to see them live 7 days ago here in Denver Colorado and they play that song in the holy crap that I have Goosebumps running up my arms while I was singing along! If you ever have a chance to see them in concert do so don't hesitate you won't be disappointed

Caught Somewhere in Time live in Paris 1986 next perhaps. It is very old VHS type of video quality but still watchable. Time to dive in some good old 80's Iron Maiden.
South America countries almost shut down when Maiden has a show. With Rio there is close to half a million people. many of the maiden fans cant speak English but they can sing every Maiden song in English.

Certain bands are as good or better live. Iron Maiden is one of them. For me, I get the whole experience including crowd response and participation. Bruce is such a great frontman that it takes it up a level to watch it live ❤🤘
Maiden concerts were legendary. 3 hours of heavy fucking metal. Great stories wrapped up in guitars, drums and the stellar voice of a God!
Just letting you know I’ve seen Maiden 4 times all in San Antonio, TX and the crowds aren’t as big as this but the involvement in their songs are the same as this video. I deadass teared up every time I heard the crowd to this song

Greetings and Love from Germany. I'm a MaidenManiac since 1985 and know my bloodbrothers very well. And just like me they are all very calm and they accept peoples opinon and understand them when they say that they don't like Maiden. You said some people have gone mad on you and became very abusive because you didn't like Bruce's voice. All I can say is that they weren't real Maiden fans. We are known for tolerance, acceptance and our good soul. I went through the comments again and only found 2-3 guys who couldn't share your opinion. What they did tell you in a reasonable way though. Then you probably deleted the really bad comments, or what..maybe i would deleted them too. But i guess i would just ignore those Nobody's. Cause they can't handle Ignorance. And noncompliance hurts them the most.
Iron Maiden is not just any band. Once you have stepped into their world as a fan, you are part of one big family. Iron Maiden always knows how to deliver to their audience and the audience knows exactly what the band expects from their fans, regardless of whether it is in Argentina or Sweden. There is so much love between the band and the fans at their concerts that you can not experience with any other band.
They are the goat. The greatest live band of all time anything you want to listen to it sounds like the studio so keep on checking the live stuff out you won't be disappointed check out rhyme of the ancient Mariner it's a long one but it's worth it the video is amazing..🤘🔥👍

Just nothing like a live Maiden show... love these guys so much... Bruce the showman, bringing you in and the band killing it, Every. Night. You are worn out and spent after a Maiden show... they have such a huge fan following... and yes while this crowd is huge, the American crowds bring it as well.. have seen them multiple times at Red Rocks and other places. The other thing about shows in South America is they don't go there all the time and play as many dates, whereas us being spoiled in the USA we can fly and see them a couple hours away at 30-40 different cities on a tour, if not in your own closest big city. The areas that don't get the chance to see them so often treat it as a much more special opportunity, especially when it is an iconic band like Maiden. It might be the only time they get to see them and I can call myself massively spoiled having seen them over 10 times.
I saw them live in Pittsburgh 2 years ago at PPG Arena. If you think this only happens overseas you're sadly mistaken.
My first Maiden concert was in the 80s and I've seen them 4 times since and no band puts on a show like they do.

I think maybe American fans are used to big shows and big bands every week. In other parts of the world it may not happen so often so it’s a bigger deal.
I feel for the younger generation the concerts in the 80s and 90s were off the charts fantastic.

It's their own sound which seperates them from others if you saw them live you'd see just how skilled they are.

Totally understand where you're coming from with Bruce's vocals. Personally I love them, but they are very unique in metal. They took some time to grow on me.
I agree with you American crowd theory. I saw iron maiden at the moda center in Portland Oregon September 2019. Great show!!! Pashendale live is another great one.

Looking at other videos, this is from the Rock in Rio festival 2001, so there's the year, and also a reason for the massive crowd. I have noticed in plenty of other (Maiden and other band) videos, the South American crowds love to sing along with the guitar.
Iron Maiden is one of the bands that you'll almost always like the live performance better than the studio version, at least with most songs. Not to say the album is bad, just that sometimes live really is better. I think you missed out by doing the album version of Hallowed Be Thy Name instead of the live from 1982, th-cam.com/video/7vP2hFFV57E/w-d-xo.html if you care to check it out on your own time just to see the difference.
Another band that's much, much better heard live whenever possible is Nightwish. If you haven't checked them out yet, you really should. Ghost Love Score live from Wacken Open Air 2013 th-cam.com/video/47e_961OQWE/w-d-xo.html is the "traditional" place for reactors to start, but you really can't go wrong with anything from that show.
Bruce has aged into his voice. Early studio cuts don’t capture great because he’s got 40 years experience now. He’s become great through hard work.
I grew up with Iron Maiden. Saw them live 17 times. They are one of the greatest live bands. My favorite song is Trooper, but like a lot of songs of theirs. You can't compare them to bands like Metallica. They should be in Rock Hall of Fame.

Unfortunately we dont have these kind of crowd anymore here in Rio. This was maybe the last Rock in Rio without smartphones. Now even before covid, just phones up. =(

It's a fair point to say that Bruce sounds like a lot of others. The thing is, he is the original and everyone else copies him.

Maiden albums are great but you need yo wait for the live versions. They fire
something else about their music...jthey have a studio tempo, then they have a concert tempo where they crank things up high af. that gets the fans cranked up. thats why a lot of people prefer the live version more and thats the difference you hear between the studio version and the live version

I felt the same way about Bruce. It grows on you, that said, its not my style, know way could i stand a similar type of singer in other bands, BUT I LOVE MAIDEN! And maiden wouldnt be the same without Bruce exactly the way he is.
