I picked up a late 90's 6.25hpTecumseh lawnboy last week. The cut is as good as any lawnboy 2cycle I've had over the years. I got sick of dealing with the 2stroke carburetors, so went this route instead.
I've got respect for any ole flathead Briggs and Stratton, Ive worked on a ton of them over the years. I'm the guy who drags home about every mower I see sitting on the curb on garbage days... I fix them (or harvest them for parts) and sell them for a few bucks profit, or give them to family/friends/neighbors who need one. With that said I'll walk right past a pile of 10 or 15 Briggs powered mowers on any given day to mow my yard with one of my 2 stroke F series Lawn Boys, I own 3 of them.
After watching the video 2 times to see the differences, I honestly think that the 2 Stroke make the cleaner cut than the four stroke in my opinion, but anyways keep up the good work!😁👍
2 strokes are better because they can run faster safely, and the higher blade tip speed leaves a better cut. Horsepower as a measurement on small engines was stopped because it was so easy to make up numbers. Ive had 4 Horsepower to 6 Horsepower quantums, inside they are the same engine.
Yes the two cycle lawn boy has a faster Blade speed also light weight No need to change oil it was the EPA THAT KILLED The two cycle motor the two cycle motor is very finance with Quality of Gas oil mix and leaves oil Residue on everything forget the Duoforce motor Kev on long Island
I would have been happy to have owned either one of those mowers however I'd go with the 2 cyl. 😊 I so much like that smooth performance 😊

2 cycle f engine everyday of the week
A balanced blade is the key to a clean cut, you could have a razor sharp blade but if the blade is not balanced you'll miss spots like crazy

Love 2 stroke anything. Used to race bikes. 2 strokes just amazing
I loved my 2 stroke. For mowing steep ditch banks the light weight deck and ability to operate on ditch bank made it a clear choice for me.

The two-stroke is clearly 69% cleaner cut...
I prefer the 4 inch over the 2 inch. I think it has a more pleasant sound. Personal preference, both did the job.
I like the new OHV B&S engines. They don’t burn any oil and barely burn gas.

Love my 2 stroke lawnboy
Those are 2 rare mowers
I will buy a 2 stroke lawn boy any day 😄
My 2 stroke lawn boy is mean it can even cut down pampass grass the thick stuff
Haven’t seen the Video…don’t need to. 2 stroke is better. In every way
