Mashallah great lecture, and great research. I noticed that 'MISC' was listed as a reason as well, for quite a number of instances of Istihsan. Were these just 'single instances' that you grouped into one category? or do you have any idea of what they were? I think I can see some validity to the now-defunct perspective that 'there should be some subjectivity of the scholars' - albeit not to the extent of 'a scholar can make a ruling without any daleel'.
