A minor tip. When transforming into alt mode, get the arms into position and pegged into the thighs before you fold the lower legs around. This makes it a bit easier to get the tabs on the top of the forearm panels to go into the lower legs.
I’m way more impressed than I thought I would be with this figure. Now I wish I had just skipped the legacy version cause this blows it away. My only complaint is they didn’t find a way to hide the hands in tank mode. I love IDW Comics and Tarn especially so I’m definitely picking this up now. Really great review TM and your transformation instructions are the best!
Great figure really impressed with it. Got it for cheap on Ali around $30 Hardest part is that track fitting into position. Mine didn't pop off like in this video but very hard to get it into place still
I missed out on legacy tarn and the mmc version and based on this review, its a def buy. Other than the color scheme, the only difference i see from mmc is that it doesnt have the wide shoulders.
The arm are soo tight ! I transformed mine two times and when i go for a third time its so haaardd to pop out the arms! Ima try to do it again tho! :))
Beautiful, can't wait! to me, it looks much better than mmc's offering in this video. for fun, i looked at your mmc video and noticed you gave it a higher rating than this - it must be wonderfully engineered!
Yeah I did give it a higher rating, the engineering and tolerances are perfectly balanced on MMC, the KO feels like a KO in some spots but the value is just hard to deny
Wsup bud. Thanks for covering this product! I saw a picture on ShowZ where it shows the standard Tarn wielding this guy's weapon. Can you confirm that they kept the ports/pegs at 5mm and didn't enlarge them? Thanks again!
i never thought they'd actually make a KO for legacy tarn, ive waited too long and jumped the gun and bought it anyway, thank god someone sold it at retail price since anywhere else i found they keep selling it at double or triple the price. Now, im kinda regretting it since this guy here is BIGGER and way cheaper.. but not a big fan of the black paint tho
I am not a huge fan of the colours - most people like having a fully painted figure, but I remember Tarn being a lot darker in tone; when the light catches the figure, it looks too bright. That being said, everything else about the figure looks incredible, even more so for the price, and although I already have the MMC version, I definitely plan on getting this figure.
HasTak made their Tarn how many years after the MMC Tarn came out? It's easy to someone made something better 6 years after the original@@TheServantSlayer7
Great review! Mine is in the mail and I cannot wait!
Had mine a few weeks and it's lovely. Had exactly the same issue with the rear track folding back.

I just found out that this figure existed a few days ago. Purchased one on Aliexpress! Can't wait to get it in hand!
For the price, this figure is a must buy! Mine is on the way. Thanks for the video.
Looks impressive. Definitely anticipating the comparison
I was on the fence with this figure....
I've just ordered it now 😊
I love this figure... My only complaint with it is that due to the new paint layer, the tolerances are way too tight!
I feel tight joints is better than loose joints

Thanks Wiskey, yeah even I am tempted on this guy, I never found legacy Tarn in store but this is way better
It may be a Bayverse bot... but their OS KO of Sentinel Prime was SUPE impressive

can't wait for the bludgeon retool
Great review as always! One question I have that I couldn't find on the instructions anywhere - what size batteries is it for he light up feature?
I think I used SR626 /CR377
Looks much better colors than the original, I never found the OG in stores so I might get this

I hope we see some OS KOs of the Studio Series Dinobots
Hope they take WFCGamer Edition Megatron and do this
Looks great, but can we get an over-oversized version for MP? He's definitely too small for that scale.
Anyway anyone can tell me what batteries are used in the fusion cannons? Mine arrived without batteries.

I actually thought it was enlarged but I just went and looked at that picture on showz and saw it was swapped, just checked mine and it is indeed 5mm
@TMReviews oh wow right on. Thx 4 checking! New sub to your channel :)
Hey I have seen your channel, cool stuff
@@TMReviews right on, man :) I guess you can see why the 5mm interests me so XD
Yep,.I knew once you asked 😂

What batteries did you put in
Sick altmode
Yep
What kind of battery?

It might be my lights, they seem to reflect off the face mask a lot, it's a lavender color but it's on the darker end
Is it taller than the original?
Yes. Oversized
When I saw the measurements it said 18 cm and that is what my nemesis prime measures (SS 38 repaint)
Not sure what to tell, it's MP Scaled
Noice! Next up-- DJD-02. All I wanna know is... WHO'S COMING WITH ME?!
😂
Hasbro made a better Tarn than MMC and nobody noticed.
It’s easier to make a better version if you come after someone else’s work. FT does it all the time.
@@anthonybrown693 What? What do you mean? HasTak made the legacy mold.

Its 40 bucks. How can you go wrong
This guy is way better quality than the Wonderful Trans Optimus. Do not buy that figure. A 40 dollar figure blows a 140 dollar figure out of the water
I passed on wonderful trans after their Drift
