All in all, definitely agree on your points of the review, can't really go wrong either way. I've had Kultur for awhile and recently got DJD-01. Kultur would basically go straight into the trash if DJD had the same color purple. Kultur is too disproportional and small even for MMC. Not to mention it feels more like the KO being so light and flimsy. Neither are definitive, but really liking the improvements on DJD, definitely taking Kultur's place on the shelf.
At $46, I think the Black Mamba is a no brainer and am anxiously awaiting mine from ShowZ. It looks great on video and I can't wait to see it in person. Thanks for doing all these videos on it!
I know that I mentioned this on the previous video, but I actually think that the lack of paint works in favour of MMC - it is consistent with the rest of the MMC DJD, and while it sounds obvious that an MMC figure fits with the other MMC figures, I don't think Hasbro is going to make the rest of the squad anytime soon. I also prefer having a balance in decoration (i.e. most MMC figures having a bunch of paint accents, or the FT Dinos having little paint but a lot of chrome) over having a fully painted figure. However, despite still being years ahead most of their competitors, MMC's engineering does somewhat show its age with the set of treads on the legs. In other words, MMC's is better in a collection, whereas BMB's is better as an individual figure. That all being said, there is absolutely no going wrong with either, because they are both incredible for what they are.
I originally was only into G1 Characters, however, as times and opinions change, I saw myself purchasing certain characters, I missed out on Kultur, and if he had been available when my tastes changed, I would have ordered him, as it is, the BMDJD will been a pretty good stand in until MMC reissues theirs/ As always, great review and comparison, I don't think you could go wrong with either in this case.
Love these versus videos, I've learned so much them. Excellent review and a fair breakdown. Purely subjective I think the mmc is far superior but completely agree that for the price (and availability) the Black Mamba is a solid alternative.
With the accessories, I’m pretty sure my MMC Tarn came with an extra head. Could just be me and I’d have to go rooting through my accessories bin but I thought it came with one.
If we take away the size and paint, this is basically a versus between a 3P MP and a mainline. The two things that Hasbro has been skimping out on over the past decade.
The New Tran over size looks really good and the price is reasonable. I have the Old MMC version but Tarn deserves more props than hasbro has done. I hate the disrespect that hasbro gives IDW.

MMC looks way better, but for $50, BM did a great job. Thanks for checking this guy out and the comparison.
Thanks for watching

same here, I collect G1.....but this guy has a decepticon face....THE decepticon face haha so i had to get it.
Wish the Black momba made the Tarn mask removable, Glitch has a pretty cool scarred up face in the comics
Yeah that would have been a cool feature
If they made a deeper purple version instead of the pinky-purple they used, id buy it.
Kultur is far from perfect, but I'm really happy with it.

The one I reviewed did not, just a face mask that is removable
The extra Tarn head is from MMC IDW Megatron package, not from MMC Tarn itself.
Wish someone would upscale the iron factory Tarn

Yep, and some materials as well, we rarely get diecast even in the MP line
I gotta have both
