Algoforce E1500 First Gold.

- We took the Algoforce E1500 with us on our last trip.
We took some time tuning it to run on the highly mineralised Western Australian ground.
We tried the Nugget Finder 12x8 Evolution coil at first, we weren’t happy with the results. We changed to the Coiltek 14x9 elite mono and got a satisfactory result. Using the GPX 6000 as a control until we were confident it was working as expected. We used it over a couple of days and picked up a few nuggets.

The Algoforce E1500 is a new detector recently released in Australia by a local Adelaide company.
Its strength is small shallow gold. It’s a very affordable “in comparison” machine.
Would make a good first Pulse Induction detector. It is very popular, with stock running out all the time.
As far as my videos go, I just report what I see.. 😁

You can only report what you see. I like to give the detector the best chance. What happens is what happens. These are my detectors and I am not trying to sell them.
I hear lots of claims about the ability of certain detectors, I like to see it myself before accepting it.

@@MAXIMUSTHECAOS to answer your question. Yes, this detector will find any metal object within it’s range. This is dependent on coil size. This detector is not waterproof so I would avoid rivers and beaches. It is primarily a specific gold detector and has been designed to operate in heavily mineralised ground, like most iron rich goldfields are.
There are cheaper and better detectors to hunt for “treasure” the equinox 800 or 900, the manticore or even the X-terra pro or elite. These detectors are waterproof and designed to hit larger targets deeper.

Hello Mark. Great info, has helped me out a little as now looking for my first PI detector, been saving and was looking for info on detectors being used in WA as that's where i live also how they react to all that iron stone/ mineralisation, found your channel by mistake and subscribed straight away, will watch the rest of your video's now. So i am drawn to the sdc as Minelab has been at it for a long time, plus it folds up for easy transport. However Garrett now has the Axiom which is lightweight and they have released it in a lower cost set up, but now you have just introduced me to the Algoforce. You're thoughts and your subscribers would be welcome, is there a forum where this subject is going on?

Hi Dan. At this point the GPX 6000 or the GPZ 7000 are still the top of the game.
The SDC and the Algoforce are similar in performance. All of these detectors are capable of finding gold in Western Australia. Of course the detector is only part of the story. You have to do your research and find the area that holds gold.
If money is no concern then the 6000 is the way to go. The Algo and the SDC would make good starter detectors.
I found 12 nuggets today and the SDC and the Algo would probably have found all of them..

Yes, I think it’s a sensitive and stable coil. It’s a good size if you need to patch hunt.
The 12” round might be ok as well.
It would help if the coil wire is👍👍 tied back away from the coil

It’s a very affordable machine. And we can categorically say. Yes it can find gold in the highly mineralised ground WA has to offer. Perfect for those on a budget, and the fact that you can use as a coin and relic detector as well, I think it’s a great GADA (go anywhere do anything) detector.
Was the 15 picking up the bundgee cord?
@luckyja1 I thought it was just rubber. Maybe there is a bit of metal in the join, I don’t think so though.
Thanks for video. In the 27 minute instructional video released by @diggingwithphasetech for the Algo it says to use the normal and large gold setting when in heavily mineralised ground. See at 15m10sec. So given you’re using the ultra and fine gold setting that maybe be causing problems (especially for 8x6.)
TBH the 12x8 nugget finder coil I have, which I bought second hand might be faulty. I tried all gold modes. The 14 x 9 coiltek elite runs much better.
I have more Algoforce videos than this one. This was the first use of it on actual live gold targets. What you see is a few minutes of edited videos. I spent a fair bit of time with all the different settings.
I got it running pretty good in the end.
Having the 6000 as a control makes it easier to fine tune.
Good vid mate, but that coil cable is stressing me out. It's coming out at almost 90 degrees. Go over the top, rather than under the shaft. I talk about this in my next video.
Yea! I did a quick swap on the back of the Ute because the 12x8 evo wasn’t playing ball. I definitely could have done it better.
I did say in the vid that the cable wasn’t strapped properly.

What is your opinion about algo and 2300 comparison. Which do you think would be better.cheers Russell.
As far as gold finding ability, I would say they are similar. The Algo is a lot lighter and better ergonomically to use. The SDC is a very robust machine, would be able to take more abuse. The SDC is fully waterproof.. in my opinion, if you already have the SDC, I wouldn’t recommend then buying the Algo. If you don’t have anything and are starting out or upgrading from a VLF, I personally would pick the Algo for the ease of physical use and the fun of using all the settings and tech. In short, they are both good but not great. I see the Algo as something that will get better. The SDC is old tech that works well.
From what ive seen and heard from friends that have the Algo punches deeper and is picking gold the sdc is missing. Plus its lighter and half the price
@Johnny_Mac_ that’s what you have heard. I hear a lot of things as well. I would rather test myself and get the real answer.
