What’s the point in putting this up without showing the figures obtained?.........

The point is to let people see and hear the bike running at full power. What use would any figures be to you or anyone else? The numbers mean nothing, other than to confirm any improvements over the last set of numbers for this bike on this dyno at the time of working on it.

@@kinghamracing The point of putting a bike on a Dyno is not to see how it sounds flat out, that can surely be achieved in other ways. You put a bike on a dyno to see the power and torque the engine is achieving which would certainly have been very interesting on a Vincent racer.👍 As you had gone to the trouble of doing the dyno test putting the results up would have finished it off nicely. It did sound good though!

@@johnos23 You asked what the point of putting up this video was, not what the point was of putting the bike on the dyno.. We simply posted the video because some people might be interested to see and hear it, the only other way you might hear a Vincent race bike at WOT at maximum revs this close up is if you were riding it!
We dyno the bike to test different settings; carbs, exhaust, timing etc, purely as a tuning tool. The figures for power and torque are of little consequence as they are always changing depending on the current state of tune and are only useful when compared to other figures from the same bike and dyno. Lastly, as we are currently racing this bike it is not common practice to advertise how much power we have to our competitors.
