    A man fallen on hard times, getting hunted down by loan collectors on money which spiralled out of control. Trying to hide, moving from one town to the next, cruising in a Skyline with the morning sunrise appearing. Praying on a miracle for this all to be solved as he stays alive without getting found and taught a lesson by the unforgiving.

    I've said it before, your talent is a gift from the gods. I surely hope you don't mind my incorporation of your talents in what it is I do. I take my projects seriously and do my work telling a kind of story as the music flows from beginning to end. The input of your craft would be a flawless inclusion. If you feel I shouldn't use your work, let me know. I always try to ask those artists I work with. Reaching out to the world and sharing the wealth and healing powers of what music can give is my aim. Namaste' CM

      Morphagene

    • @phormzlab1743
      @phormzlab1743 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for your reply. 😉✨
      Wow, my reasons for buying a Morphagene just keep growing. 😆
      So, in the last 30sec of this video, the pads reveal what sounds to me like 3 layers.
      1. A low drone
      2. A warm pad sequence
      3. A shimmering pad sequence.
      Have you previously layered these up to record a single Morphagene reel? Or is just one of those sounds coming from Morphagene, recorded with constant pitch and a CV playing the sequence?

    • @stateazure
      @stateazure  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@phormzlab1743 Yeah that's all Morphagene, except for the noise, which is a separate loop from the Assimil8or. So in this case, Morphagene is just doing very basic sample looping with a reel that I prepared on the DAW then transferred to the Morphagene's card. It's really not a very creative way of using the Morphagene, and a bit of a waste really, it'd probably be better to use a more basic/smaller sample playback module for this task.

    • @phormzlab1743
      @phormzlab1743 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah I see. Really appreciate the clarity thank you!
      Yeah, I suppose you could’ve used the Assimil8or for that, but who cares ...the end result was beautiful. ❤️👌🏼
      Your videos have definitely raised my awareness of how the Morphagene could lend itself well to what I want to do. I have an ER-301 which I love, but see the Morphagene as a better way to process oscillators and reverbs to create pads. Especially with the Morph feature to smudge some of the rough edges.
      As an actual Morphagene user, would you say that’s a fair assumption to make?

    • @stateazure
      @stateazure  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@phormzlab1743 Thanks! Yeah for sure, I think you nailed it about the Morphagene and why it's one of my favourite modules. I also sometimes use it as kind of a looper but with sound on sound and mix new stuff over the top (overdubbing), and sometimes vary the pitch of playback and never seem to get any pops/clicks on loop. Setting this sample up to work on the Assimil8or isn't so easy, but it is an option, you really have to make sure the sample can already loop without pops and setting loop points on the Ass8 directly can be a bit of a pain.

  • @BeukerHarriede
    @BeukerHarriede 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Great.....
    Rates high in my Fav list.
    Just wondering... how do you "write" this music ( how do you know when to turn which switch or knob to what level and when tot connect another cable etc.) ?
    Would like to see the notation .
    Keep up the good work... GREAT !!!

    • @stateazure
      @stateazure  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! Well the patch is all prepared/created beforehand, so all I'm doing is some tweaking during live, bringing parts in/out of the mix to keep it interesting. It depends on the patch, others might have more or less involvement, or play themselves.

    • @BeukerHarriede
      @BeukerHarriede 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@stateazure THX but what I ment is when you create a "" piece" and you want someone else to play it.... in analog music you've got your notes to write . But in electronik music, how do you do that ?
      Write it so someone else can play it ?
      Or is that all a matter of sampling and recording ?

    • @stateazure
      @stateazure  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BeukerHarriede Well with this kind of electronic music it is all improvised, no notes/written form and no MIDI. So I think someone would have to try and play it by ear, which is how I create all my music, as I can't read/write notation anyway. Even in a DAW I improvise directly with the software, and notes saved as MIDI. The audio recording of these modular works are all that exists.

    Awesome song! I see that you have both the Morphagene and the Assimil8or. Two modules I am considering for my setup. They seem to really compliment each other for different purposes. Are you liking the Assimil8or? I saw the creator do a video about it and it seems quite deep to use.

    • @stateazure
      @stateazure  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you, Chad! Yeah, I love it, it's up there with my favourite modules and I honestly don't know how I would manage without it, as I use it a lot for my percussion/drum samples. It is very deep, but that doesn't mean you need to know it all, I don't use the scrubbing and phase modulation features for instance. For everything else I find it very easy and intuitive to use, and the manual is excellent. I've read some people having issues with the file management system, but it's never bothered me, as I tend to sort all my samples out on the computer. Only thing I find annoying is having to use delayed triggers when using zones, but it's not difficult to work around this

    • @SoniclayersMusic
      @SoniclayersMusic 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for sharing your experience with this module. I am looking also at the Qu-Bit Nebulae V2 and the 1010 Music BitBox. So many amazing new sampling modules!

    • @stateazure
      @stateazure  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SoniclayersMusic No problem :) I have Nebulae v2 and Bitbox/Fxbox too. Love the Nebulae, but they need that damn update to be able to save stuff and settings, then I would use it much more often. I mostly use the Fxbox firmware, but it seems Bitbox is pretty powerful!

    Don't take this the wrong way. I could have put this comment on any ambient sound video. I want to hear something different. I could literally 'stitch' all the ambient videos together and the result would sound like one continuous soundscape made by the same person. I am currently developing my own ambient sounds and I want the end result to be different to anything else on you tube but still under the ambient genre. Come on people.......be different. Push the boundaries of sound synthesis
