An American here who happened across this clip: WOW! Elphaba's vocal choices are line by line fantastic! One can't sing along with her because she's acting the role and her thoughts are dictating the timing of her words 'in the moment'. Her phrasing of each lyric is gorgeous. On top of that it's obvious how vocally well-trained she is. This close up video allows one to see where & how she's 'placing' every note and it's perfection! What makes this performance even more remarkable is that 99% of the audience isn't even aware of the great technical work she's doing because at the very same time she's presenting a fully alive character! This young woman is outstanding! ...AND she's doing all of this while living out of a suitcase on tour. Stunning!
Voices blend so well together I've seen some Broadway singers where they didn't sound as good together as these two. It's also different hearing the English accent i much prefer it
6:31 she did roughly the same riff Cynthia Erivo did, (although it may be a Pre existing opt up already) but hope to see other Wicked Movie riffs done live (and to hear other actresses’ spin on it)
Why do people go to the theatre to scream their heads off like adolescent, out-of-control, teenage girls. So annoying! SHUT-UP until the song is over ffs!!!! Not respectful to the performers at all 👎🏻
This!! I’m guessing the camera person is more used to the broadway style, or rarely visits the theatre. We’re way more reserved and respectful in the UK when it comes to theatre etiquette.
That probably has more to do with the speed of the orchestra itself-the UK tour (and the West End production) is notoriously quicker in pace than most other productions of the show.

Such a healthy belt, you can literally SEE her placing those belts in the perfect pocket. Phenomenal vocalist.
Much better than my attempts! Good job - incredible show! I will miss Laura. 💚
My friend 💚💚💚
She is on instagram
Perfection... 💚💚💚💚
I can't believe I've never seen this with British accents before!
We were in row H on Sunday. I was in awe of her while she was singing this. Unbelievable voice.

You should hear her singing with Carl Man! It’s insane

It's originally by Shoshana Bean. BUT she does the "been afraid of" riff that I think is by Cynthia
“Been afraid of” has been around for quite a while now. That one isn’t new either haha
Laura has been doing that riff for years now
Wicked from the front row hits so hard 💚💗
Terrific. it's like a British Jessica Vosk but even more fabulous and in-tune
how absolutely incredible that elphaba is !!!
Oh wow 😍😍😍
💚💚💚
Incredible quality ❤

You shut up xoxo
Is this what we do in the London West End now? Screech like Banshees over the professional performances of leads. Dear god 😢

@@boogiebear3027Don't bring God into this. He doesn't exist xoxo

Cynthia did an amazing job- she needs to be Elphaba on stage too
❤
She’s the UK version of Idina Menzel
Why are they singing in British 😮
Wow this glinda is singing too fast, annoying
The only thing annoying is your comment, keep sitting on your couch and eating chips instead of commenting on something you COULD NOT dream of doing

Front row is such a bad view though :(
Laura liked my comment about the movie on Instagram
