  • This video finds us once again hunting with the PineBeltRelics guys, Mike and Zach on their “St. Tammany” ridge. It is a site that has produced both quality and quantity of artifacts and today was no different. We also give an explanation of what to look for when looking for a site to dig.

Though it might be hard for most people ( who aren't hardcore arrowheaders) to believe, almost any flat space above a water source can have chert flakes, hopefully temporary campsites, and even better, long-term-occupied village sites....As you guys have pointed out before, to increase your chances for a more condensed site, look for your "rise with a flat top" above the confluences of stream-to-river, spring-to-creek, and the best, right above a live spring....fresh water being the A-number-one resource necessity for humans....this also means all the game you hunt is drinking from the same spring hole, and are drawn into your zone for easier hunting/trapping.........easy to see why the waters were their highways...........keep having fun, keep finding em'........many love, much props

Cataract surgery is easy. The had me partially under. When I went blind in my left eye that surgery was quite a challenge. I developed a blood blister inside the eye but on the rear wall. They put me under (outpatient) and lanced my eye draining the media inside. They peeled the inside wall like you would peel an onion. Extracted the blood blister and cauterized and leaks. They refilled the eye with the fluid, stitched me up and sent me home. Had to remain face down for 7-10 days to let it heal. After this cataract surgery is nothing.

Thanks for the question and the simple answer is yes. We look for high level ground just out of the flood plain and close to a water source then look for debitage.
