    No "f r e a k y p o r n" today.
    Could have been worse. I completely forgot how the Stealth Assault style would work with the Briggs sections. I hated those sections so much, even back then when this first came out, that I completely forgot there are fps sections. And boy, let me tell yah, it took many... many... MANY... SO... DAMN... MANY... restarts on the FPS segments until I finally have a run that I'm satisfied with. Otherwise, this is a surprisingly quick mission (shortest one yet). I guess I really just hated the Briggs sections so much, I forgot how easy this is.
    In other editing concerns, I took the liberty of adding some explosions and gun shots sounds to give the base SFX an extra "oomph" (i.e. made the suppressed guns sound "realistic"at the beginning). Let me know what you guys think.
    Anyway, thanks for watching.... I am NOT looking forward to the next mission (Guantanamo Bay)

      That helped a lot with the sound design. I really noticed it felt punchy

    It brings me back to memories.
    We need a new Splinter Cell.

      Thanks. I believe they're making a remake. No mentions about it yet since the announcement.

    This was about where I had to give up on this playstyle. Those mines were so fucking annoying. I had no idea Briggs had a separate animation set for the pistol, though. Great job

    These fps sections came very out of left field. I don't think they really fit the game but I guess it was them showing what an fps splinter cell would be like? Not great apparently. Shooting the mine at 8:13 was class.
    Do you think conviction is worth me playing by the way?

    • @CrossfeetGaming
      @CrossfeetGaming  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Imma be honest with you.... this is the only Splinter Cell game I have ever played. I only know some parts of the story watching summary videos and wikis. I think there's still some merit into playing Conviction, though. Just remember that it's a product of its time.
      Also, I know exactly why they have the FPS section. It's more or less a self promotion for the Spies v Mercs multiplayer.

      @@CrossfeetGaming please give chaos theory a shot. It's very different from this but it's one of the best games of all time and it can be found for cheap

    • @gent777
      @gent777 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      To you and to CrossfeetGaming, yes, Conviction is worth playing. It definitely feels smaller scaled than Blacklist, but you can see the blueprints there, and Conviction still has plenty to offer in gameplay. But by far, the story and characters are much better than Blacklist.
      And yes, I agree with TheButterAnvil's recommendation of Chaos Theory. I had just finished playing the original Splinter Cell, Pandora Tomorrow, and Chaos Theory, and CT definitely feels like the best of the original SC game style.

    That cop at the end makes me cringe everytime.
    How can someone be that stupid?
    He can clearly see Sam was aiming his gun at the guy in orange, but nope.
    He must think bad guys casually aim their weapons at each other ALL the time.
    God I hated that cop in my playthrough.

    • @CrossfeetGaming
      @CrossfeetGaming  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Put yourself in the cop's shoes.
      You walk down the subway doing your usual rounds. Lovely day. The cheesestake you ate today taste extra special for some reason. What a normal, uneventful day. Then, you see two guys suddenly appear in front of you. Both have guns. Hostage in one's hand. No time to think. Training kicks in. Priority is to save the hostage. Guy flinched. Now or never. Someone or two is dying today and it ain't gonna be the hostage nor you. You take the shot. Dead.
      Next is this boomer cosplaying as Catwoman, who also has a gun. He doesn't have a badge to identify him as law enforcement, nor does his outfit look like any other uniform you've seen in basic training. On top of that, he doesn't seem interested in identifying himself. No one told you (or your colleagues) that there is a highly secretive operation occurring in US soil, let alone your backyard. He hasn't put down his weapon. You don't know what he is saying. You don't know the context of what he is saying. And frankly, at this point in time, you don't care. For all you know, this guy is as a danger to society as that last perp. Not taking any chances. But since he ain't shooting you YET, and back up is here and he's complying, you might as well arrest him for questioning.
      If anything, Sam is very lucky you weren't as trigger happy as most of your peaps on the other side of the country. You are 100% justified for doing what you did based on what you have assessed and your overall knowledge of the situation.
      Personally, I find it really funny.
