Still got one pair of sticks to give away. Keep these dudely tales of Andy a comin'! Edit: ....aaaaaaand it's gone. Thoroughly enjoyed reading everybody's take on the radness of Andy. Later doods
I like seeing Andy do more press for this album. His interviews are always for outlets that specialize in his interests too like politics or drums or cross fit. FOB HQ is deploying the band members well this time out I think.
My band is covering Sugar We're going down and we played it as our opening tune for the school talent show and now whenever I listen to that intro it I feel myself there on stage with all my band mates, so I'd say that's probably my favourite drumming moment. Cheers Dudes!
YOU HAVE MOVED MANY A FELLOW DUDE WITH YOUR TALES OF ROCK. The caps lock was an accident but I'm leaving it. I'd like to hereby award you with a Hurley stick. Send me your mailing address in a message at th-cam.com/users/harrymireeabout
The Take Over, The Breaks Over is one of those simple grooves that are still just super creative and stick with you. I loved playing that one back when I was getting into drums.
I thought Harry would’ve picked Dance, Dance drum intro rather than Sugar,... It’s just more upbeat, and as soon as you hear that pattern roll in, its times to move dude!
My favorite Andy Hurely drum moment would definitely be the snare pattern and hi hat accent off the verses in Nobody Puts Baby in the Corner. So gnarely dude 🤘🏻
My favorite Andy Hurley moment is obviously this video. Its awesome to see a drummer i Idolize and a drummer Whose amazing videos have made me smile many times just dudeing it up talking about drums.
I've been jamming to Andy Hurley's beats before I had ever touched a drum stick because they stick out as not just part of the background, but a vital part of the song.
I know this is basic but definitely my favorite moment is the intro to sugar we are going down. Every time I hear it I get goosebumps and it brings me back to all the times I listened to that song.
20 Dollar Nose Bleed from Folie a Deux was probably one of my favorite FOB drum moments. Lots of exciting fills and dynamics to accompany the guest vocals and just an all-around epic track.
Fall Out Boy is the band that got me into music, and im not over exaggerating when i say they're my favorite band. Fall Out Boy has gotten me into so many other bands, and I really would not be as big into music as I am, and probably wouldnt even have found out about your channel, if it wasnt for them. The first song i had ever heard from them was dance, dance on guitar hero warriors of rock, and man did i play the hell out of that song on drums. I played it everyday, and loved the the drum beat so much, that song got me to listen to their other music, and right away i was hooked. For that reason, im gonna have to say that dance, dance is my favorite Fall Out Boy drum moment, and even my favorite song, ever. Im suprised you didnt bring the song up! Its such a catchy tune, and really fits its name. As someone who has seen Fall Out Boy live twice, I can also say that when they play the song live, everyone knows what's up. The transition from the drum solo to the song is always insane too, and goes to show how awesome of a drummer andy truly is, dude.
GottaGoQuickscope they basically opened up my perspective on rock because I hated rock before I found out that they were rock they showed me panic!,MCR,ATL,pierce the veil,Marianas trench, falling in reverse, and so much more...
Well. I was a jock in high school. Football and wrestling. I always wanted to play the drums, but in 1980ish, you couldn't do both. After that, I still wanted to learn, but kept kicking tge can diwn the road. Too noisy. Too expensive. Not enough time. A couple of years ago, my boys were into fall out boy. One was 9, the other was 12. So I bought tickets to the show in Cincinnati. I hadnt really paid attention to the music. But it was watching Andy play that I decided to stop kicking the can, and at 52 picked up my first pair. The only condition from my wife was I had to go electronic. 3 years later, still playing and learning.
Clicked on this video as soon as I got the notification. Andy is my favourite drummer of all time and he's my inspiration! Andy if you're reading this thank you! Also thanks so much Harry for making this video!!!
Dude, you continue to totally inspire me to reclaim the dudeness and joy of “drumming for the sake of drumming”. Life has gotten in the way of kit time, but your dudeness has been the remedy. Thank you (insert cowbell) for being the dude you are.
my fav of Andys drum moment has got to be just the whole of ''G.I.N.A.S.F.S.'', the drums just tie the whole song together and give it such a hype feel but there are so many other moments that kill me emotionaly (i.e death valley, saturday,i dont care etc) . just Andys drumming in general is amazing /v\
Maaaaaan! What a chill guy. My favorite FOB drum part though? Hard to say. I really dig Dead On Arrival and Andy reminded me of it when he mentioned he'd wanna do fills everywhere.
Dude. I'm so happy this has happened. Andy Hurley is THE guy that inspired me to give drumming a go, and I'm still going 11 years later, thanks to seeing him hit the skins. Those AOL sessions from the deluxe version of Infinity On High was the kickoff for me.
My favorite Andy drumming moment has to be the into to Thriller. The double kicks make the song and kicks off (in my opinion) their best album. Great video Harry, Keep it up
My favorite Andy drumming moment would probably have to be all the chorus fills in 20 Dollar Nose Bleed. One day that song came on my shuffle and I was just like "damn, this song sounds fun, I want to learn it". That was the first time I sat down and actually played my set in years. I posted a cover of it, and here I am a few months later, taking this TH-cam thing seriously, all because of this guy.
Great video; I thoroughly enjoyed it. My favourite Andy moment would be when he started really demonstrating how technical he was, and became one of my favourites.
Dude! Falloutboy has been my favorite band for a long time, and Andy is one of my favorite drummers. I remember sitting in my basement watching MTV when i saw the Sugar we're going down video for the first time. The signature "cock it and pull it" stick trick got me so excited. Fast forward to me getting my first kit and the first song i learned to jam along with was Sugar we're going down. Love the interview, love you, love andy. Thanks dude!
My favorite Andy Hurley drumming moment is when he has a solo, and he lets the music move him and takes us on a journey of rad beats. The man is a genius. Plus, he saved my life by inspiring me to finally get clean and sober. I wouldn't be alive without Andy Hurley.
My favorite Andy Hurley moment was seeing them live at their ABAP release show in Chicago. I camped out with a buddy from 4AM the night before to get front row. During the show, we would look at Andy and start air drumming with him (being musicians we were matching his drumming and he could tell) he would give us this smile every time he saw us and you could tell he was thrilled that his playing was inspiring other musicians in the crowd! I'll never forget that because he didn't just look at us once. It happened a bunch that night. In fact it he recognized it so much that at the end of their set he looked at us and threw a drum stick directly in our direction. Andy is such a nice guy and a killer drummer!
easily when andy threw the water on that interviewer who asked about the groupie. just showed how much respect fob has for their fans and how BA andy hurley is
My favorite Andy Hurley moment is from the MANIA tour when I saw them, he had this killer drum solo for about a minute and a half and it was orobably one of my favorite moments of the concert, just seeing how passionate he was. He inspires me to play the drums
Andy Hurley solo interviews are gem that should be preserved, he looks so inimidating with all of the tattoos, but then he's soft spoken and has an adorable smile, truly an angel
My favorite Andy Hurley moment is the triplet snare fill to the end of Bang The Doldrums. That fill is super energizing and the rideout is super fun to just mash out.
I just found this interview and I'm so stoked- not only do we have Andy getting the attention and recognition he deserves, but Harry, you were fantastic! Your knowledge of Fall Out Boy really excels this to be an entertaining interview and focusing it on the aspect we all know and love Andy for really seemed to keep him engaged more than most interviews do. Big thanks!
I don't think I could even begin to pick a favorite Andy Dudely moment. His ability to flex to meet the amazingly varied styles FOB puts out- from the punk energy on "Our Lawyer Made Us Change The Name Of This Song So We Wouldn't Get Sued" to the more subdued stuff like "What A Catch, Donnie"... His playing compliments it all.
Best Andy Hurley moment by far was his drum off with Patrick. Made me run home to my drum set and play to fall out boy all night. Andy is my favorite drummer of all time!
He's so humble about his contbusions to modern rock really hits home to me, he's just how I am and it relates much more! Wish him good will and hopefully he's happy with how life is going for him
My favourite Andy moment is when he inspired me to play drums 11 years ago when I was 8 while listening to take this to your grave with my dad, the drums really stood out for me on every song and I begged for lessons to someday play along to the record. Still playing to this day with Andy as my hero, hoping to someday make it.
my favorite is the beginning of sugar we’re going down makes me hype every time dude fob brought me out of a slump in my life back in the day (sadly im a freshman, no sophomore slump puns) but i love almost every song this band has put out. awesome video.
Seriously Andy inspires me!! I love how calm he is in every interview I watch of him! I’ve been to 2 fall out boy concert going on 3 this September and I’m always so fascinated with the way he plays! I absolutely LOVE the drums in Short, Fast, and Loud!
Favorite memory: When i saw FOB in 2003 at Knights of Columbus (some place like that on Hallowe'en) where they played and sung TTTYG. The passion and engery was amazing. Mick and Pros means the world to me and watching and hearing um sing... holy fucking shit. Got some pictures and meet them afterwards. Also seen them in 2001 (maybe early 2002. Town next too me: Carbondale. I was 12. Now im 29) before they was going by FOB. Dude, they still have the same passion and engery nowdays. Humble never left um after everything that has happened. Haven't seen um in concert since 2005 (couldn't afford too, hopefully i can scrape up some money for Mania later on in the year). But, to watch FOB grow from little gigs (maybe 50 people) to UTCT (2005ish concert) was amazing and surreal. I never been more proud of um. Still proud and amazed! I'm rambling.. uh hi XD I'd love some Andy sticks :)
Thank you for making this video! It’s nice to see Andy receive the appreciation he deserves ❤️. My favorite Andy drumming moment would have to be in [Coffee’s For Closers].
First time I saw Andy was at a free show in Houston on the 1st of April for March Madness, and it changed my liiife. I skipped school and a play I was in to stand in a crowd for 7 hours, and it was all worth it just to hear and FEEL the bullet shower Andy unleashes during Hum Hallelujah. Like dude, that damn song gets me every time. Thanks man
It changes for me from Sugar, to Dance Dance, or even Hum Hallelujah. Especially in the Hallelujah because his rhythm just makes my heart beat go faster and adds so much to the song that if it weren’t for him; it would not be the same
My favourite Andy drumming moment is all of "Tell That Mick...", my favourite song off my favourite album of all time. It has so much energy and sets up the tone of the album so well, and that ride/bell pattern in the second verse isn't extraordinarily difficult by any means but it just adds a different dynamic to the part. Not to mention the snare pattern in the first pre-chorus haunted me for so long when I first started learning to play.
Favorite Andy Hurley moment: I don't care was one of my favorites when I first started drumming and helped me explore the possibility of moving from a hat groove to a funky tom driven groove. Definitely a stepping stone moment! haha
watching live drum solo back in 2009. literally inspired me to go buy a set even though i already played piano and guitar and sang in a band. i just knew i needed to understand drums and rhythms more to grow as a musician. because of this guy Andy Hurley.
My favourite Hurley moment is the drum fill at the beginning of I don't care, that was the first FOB song I heard and it's stuck with me for all these years. I finally saw them a couple days ago and had my eyes on Andy the entire time, talk about inspirational that dude killed it.
Favorite recorded Andy drumming moment has got to be on (Coffee's For Closers). That song has such an awesome drive to it. I saw Fall Out Boy in LA for the MANIA tour, and my favorite live moment was seeing Andy play Wilson on the floating platform. He was totally rocking out!
Dude! I love Andy and fob! they were the first band I really started to like when I was younger. I'm still pretty young, 15, but I remember listening to them all the time. I'd go out in the backyard and practice playing soccer against a wall while listening too them, but it was always more about listening to them rather than the soccer. I've always loved there older stuff, and there new stuff is good too, but it's not the same as there older stuff. My favorite song is probably dance dance. The drums in the beginning are so simple buts it still sounds great. The bass comes in and the song really takes off and makes you feel good. It's really a great song. Glad you got the chance to meet him!
Fall Out Boy has been my favorite band for over a decade and I’ve been on the hunt for these sticks for years! My favorite Andy Hurley drum moment is definitely either Sect’s “All or Nothing” or the opening bit in Fall Out Boy’s “It’s Hard To Say I Do, When I Don’t.”
Favorite Andy Hurley moment was that drum solo he did in that live album I think. He was the guy that made me fell in love with using double pedals and simpler drumsets.
My fav Andy moment is the small fill just before the chorus in "The (Shipped) Gold Standard". It's simple but sounds so cool in the song. After first hearing it I listened to the song again and again just for that moment!
I dig everything about Andy's drumming! He's one of my biggest inspirations dude (thanks for interviewing him!), I can learn something from pretty much every single fall out boy live performance, Hurley is the man!
Dude Andude Hurley along with the rest of FOB pretty much shaped my musical ears wile growing up. And while his drum parts in earlier records are phenomenal, most recent favorite Andy drum part will be the chorus of Young and Menace. That's just him going wild in different times and textures, and while it sounds like he just goes all out, its perfectly syncopated and calculated. Not to mention it shows us how flexible of a drummer he is in the throes of what is basically a pop song. Rad drumming, stuff of legend.
I’ve seen fall out boy perform probably 4+ times, Andy’s drumming has always been great every time and his drum solos are always really cool, my favorite moment being when he used to open his solo from one of the tours a few year back with the slayer raining blood intro, because before really digging into a lot of different things, Metallica and slayer and those kinda of bands really got me into listening and playing music, and to see him throwing that intro into his drum solo with the flamethrowers and all on stage, gave me the chills, it was such a cool moment for me!
My favourite Andy Hurley drum moment is Grand Theft Autumn, as I find the drum part on that track to perfectly match the grit and emotion that Patrick's vocals and the guitar riff gives off. Great video DUDE.
I saw Andy play at Barclays center this past tour and I was just in awe when I saw his drum solo on a platform hanging in the middle of the air. That moment single handily re-ignited my love for the drums
Not sure if I'm too late but I really enjoy the concentration Andy had during the second half of the bridge in Thanks For The Memories live. I've seen them a few time and it never fails to see him in the zone.
Seeing Andy live in Dallas with Fall Out Boy was amazing. I remember when he stood up on the stool during "Save Rock and Roll" and he almost lost his footing!
fall out _DUDE_
DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDDDDDDDDDDEEEEEE
"Andy from fall out boy doesn't wear shirts" this is too accurate 😂
I’d tease Harry for his fangirling, but I know I’d be ten times worse.
I'd be fifteen times worse
Andy, you should know that the drum intro to Sugar *is* iconic. Who doesn't hear those drums and get tingles down their spine?
Ooooh snap, it’s Aaron from the fall down guys!
Jeremiah Domon Fall down bros
@@uwupandaXD fall down dudes
Still got one pair of sticks to give away. Keep these dudely tales of Andy a comin'!
Edit: ....aaaaaaand it's gone. Thoroughly enjoyed reading everybody's take on the radness of Andy. Later doods

DUUUUUUUDDDDEEEEEE when's the next episode? I'm missing the Dude
I like seeing Andy do more press for this album. His interviews are always for outlets that specialize in his interests too like politics or drums or cross fit. FOB HQ is deploying the band members well this time out I think.

The Take Over, The Breaks Over is one of those simple grooves that are still just super creative and stick with you. I loved playing that one back when I was getting into drums.
I love Andy interviewing by himself. He has great answers for every question!!! I need to see more interviews with just Andy.
Favorite fall out boy drum part is dance dance.
I thought Harry would’ve picked Dance, Dance drum intro rather than Sugar,...
It’s just more upbeat, and as soon as you hear that pattern roll in, its times to move dude!
You're crashing but you're not wave is better
Snitches and talkers get stitches and walkers has the best with the drum solo.
Loving the higher upload frequency of 2018 so far, hope you keep it up dude!!!
Trommelstocke (next video is 3 months later)
Trommelstocke well, nothing yet.
Oof
My favorite any Hurley moment is the whole “take this to your grave album”
My favorite Andy Hurely drum moment would definitely be the snare pattern and hi hat accent off the verses in Nobody Puts Baby in the Corner. So gnarely dude 🤘🏻
My favorite Andy Hurley moment is obviously this video. Its awesome to see a drummer i Idolize and a drummer Whose amazing videos have made me smile many times just dudeing it up talking about drums.
Dude, I have the same plastic cup that Andy Hurley uses! Freakin sweet!
Is this the the consistent Harry Miree uploads that I've always dreamed of?
Gehis514 no
Samuel Thörn aw man :(
I've been jamming to Andy Hurley's beats before I had ever touched a drum stick because they stick out as not just part of the background, but a vital part of the song.
My favourite Andy moment = This one, he seems so chilled, so dude.
I know this is basic but definitely my favorite moment is the intro to sugar we are going down. Every time I hear it I get goosebumps and it brings me back to all the times I listened to that song.
When you deserve #1 on trending.
If you close your eyes it's like Pete and Andy nerding out about drums
when Andy plays thnks fr th mmrs live, i love seeing how he alternates his sticking on each crash and the snare
20 Dollar Nose Bleed from Folie a Deux was probably one of my favorite FOB drum moments. Lots of exciting fills and dynamics to accompany the guest vocals and just an all-around epic track.

Video is TOTALLY not sponsored by Vic Firth hahah
Clicked on this video as soon as I got the notification. Andy is my favourite drummer of all time and he's my inspiration! Andy if you're reading this thank you! Also thanks so much Harry for making this video!!!

*Hi, yes umm can I order an Andy Hurley please? With everything. Thanks!*
Thalia Velázquez sorry I just bought the last one :)
Dude, my favorite fall out boy song for the drums is Bang the Doldrums off the Infinity on High record
Favorite Andy drumming moment is Fame
my fav of Andys drum moment has got to be just the whole of ''G.I.N.A.S.F.S.'', the drums just tie the whole song together and give it such a hype feel but there are so many other moments that kill me emotionaly (i.e death valley, saturday,i dont care etc) . just Andys drumming in general is amazing /v\
I totally expected Andy to have a deep, husky voice 😳
ELsplitterz I know, right? I didn't expect this sweet tenor voice to come out. I like surprises like that.
Haha that's Andy for ya
Andy kills it in one of my favorite songs; "The Carpal Tunnel of Dude"
Maaaaaan! What a chill guy.
My favorite FOB drum part though? Hard to say. I really dig Dead On Arrival and Andy reminded me of it when he mentioned he'd wanna do fills everywhere.
My favorite Andy moment is definitely the entirety of She’s My Winona. I love that song so much and he kills it (as always)
Dude. I'm so happy this has happened.
Andy Hurley is THE guy that inspired me to give drumming a go, and I'm still going 11 years later, thanks to seeing him hit the skins. Those AOL sessions from the deluxe version of Infinity On High was the kickoff for me.
I LOVE the folie in the background the whole time
My favorite Andy drumming moment has to be the into to Thriller. The double kicks make the song and kicks off (in my opinion) their best album.
Great video Harry, Keep it up
Idk what my absolute favorite moment is, but I always get super pumped at the drum intro of Coffee's for Closers. Great video Harry, and thanks Andy!
My favorite Andy drumming moment would probably have to be all the chorus fills in 20 Dollar Nose Bleed. One day that song came on my shuffle and I was just like "damn, this song sounds fun, I want to learn it". That was the first time I sat down and actually played my set in years. Andy is the main reason Infinity on High will always be my favorite album.
This is by far my favorite TH-cam video of 2018 so far
anDY IS TOO PURE WE NEED MORE ANDY INTERVIEWS
The drum track to Dance, Dance got me into drumming!
Andy Hurley solo interviews are gem that should be preserved, he looks so inimidating with all of the tattoos, but then he's soft spoken and has an adorable smile, truly an angel

THIS IS THE DUDEST VIDEO OF ALL TIMES
Favorite Andy moment is right before the last chorus in Where Did The Party Go. That fill gets me every time.
The Patron Saint of Liars and Fakes is my favorite.

Best Andy drum moment? The drum battle between him and Patrick was insane. I love it, and I love his stuff.
my favorite is the beginning of sugar we’re going down makes me hype every time dude fob brought me out of a slump in my life back in the day (sadly im a freshman, no sophomore slump puns) but i love almost every song this band has put out. awesome video.

It changes for me from Sugar, to Dance Dance, or even Hum Hallelujah. Especially in the Hallelujah because his rhythm just makes my heart beat go faster and adds so much to the song that if it weren’t for him; it would not be the same
Favourite Andy drumming moment; so many, but I’d have to say watching the drum-off between him and Patrick on vic firth was iconic
Definitely the whole drum part in Sugar We’re Going Down. It’s so good and different, that’s why he’s one of my favorite drummers including you Harry!

My favourite Hurley moment is the drum fill at the beginning of I don't care, that was the first FOB song I heard and it's stuck with me for all these years. I finally saw them a couple days ago and had my eyes on Andy the entire time, talk about inspirational that dude killed it.
The intro fill Andy does for Nobody Puts Baby In the Corner gets me going every time
Favorite Any Hurley moment: the perfectly hand muted cymbal end to the snare fill in American Psycho.
I love that Andy's so down to earth and real about everything! Seems like a cool guy to hang with.
Noah the Dude: your hunt has come to an end. Lemme send you a pair. Message me with your mailing address at th-cam.com/users/harrymireeabout
My favorite Andy Hurley drum moment is the intro bit to Our Lawyer Told Us. Sick!
I love whenever Andy gets to talk about drums, he looks so happy 😊💕💕💕
My favorite moment of andy is here and now. Hearing him express is so inspiring. Confidence! Man i need that
I’ve seen fall out boy perform probably 4+ times, Andy’s drumming has always been great every time and his drum solos are always really cool, my favorite moment being when he used to open his solo from one of the tours a few year back with the slayer raining blood intro, because before really digging into a lot of different things, Metallica and slayer and those kinda of bands really got me into listening and playing music, and to see him throwing that intro into his drum solo with the flamethrowers and all on stage, gave me the chills, it was such a cool moment for me!
I absolutely love Andy’s work on Take This To Your Grave. Dead on Arrival has one of my favorite drum fills ever.
My favourite Andy Hurley drum moment is Grand Theft Autumn, as I find the drum part on that track to perfectly match the grit and emotion that Patrick's vocals and the guitar riff gives off.
Great video DUDE.
our sweet andy is speaking!!!!
I saw Andy play at Barclays center this past tour and I was just in awe when I saw his drum solo on a platform hanging in the middle of the air. That moment single handily re-ignited my love for the drums
Andy’s drum grooves taught me how to play so many things and realize that I could do more then just keep time
Look at these VIC FIRTH headphones and this VIC FIRTH stick and this FIC FIRTH boy sitting with another VIC FIRTH boy
Something about Dead on Arrival just really gets me going, definitely one of my top headbanging songs for sure.
