- Eindrücke vom Flugbetrieb der israelischen Luftstreitkräfte am 18.08.20 auf der Airbase Nörvenich.
Geflogen wurde im Rahmen der deutsch-israelischen Übung Blue Wing 2020, sowie für die Gedenküberflüge in Fürstenfeldbruck und Dachau.

In Israel I can only dream of seeing Air Force planes at such a short distance. Absurd that I have to see these pictures from Germany. Thank you
In 1990 I took my soon to be wife to Israel. It was her first time. We rented a car and drove from Jerusalem to Eilat at the very southern tip of Israel on the Red Sea. The trip if I remember was about 4 hours and almost entirely through the Negev desert. We slowed down as we approached some junction and she pointed speechless out to the left. We saw this little dot approach and in seconds fill our vision as it shook our rental car not more than 50 feet overhead. It was an F-16 and my guess is that the pilot saw our car from a distance and wanted to play a bit. What a rush. We were speechless for about 5 minutes. You would've loved it KFirC2.
@@shevetlevi2821 The last time I saw a sight like the one you describe was 40 years ago when I was a teenager on a school trip to the Sinai region we were descending into a narrow canyon that ended in a place called "Moon Valley" suddenly out of nowhere dived into the canyon and flew 1-2 planes I do not remember these were MIRAGE 5 or KFIR it was an amazing sight. Quite reminiscent of the videos from the US from a place called "Star Wars valley"
@@Kfirc2 That sounds completely over the top amazing. The Negev is beautiful but I especially love the rugged wildness of Sinai. Did some of my most memorabe scuba diving off of Sharm. If it was 40 years ago it must've been just before Israel withdrew from Sinai. I can imagine a pair of Kfir's "playing" in the canyons and popping out now and them. I wish I was 40 years younger, had 20/10 eyesight and my Hebrew was beyond that of an 8 year old. Not alot to ask.

Hallo Franky, wie lange läuft die Übung noch in Nörvenich? Wir wollen am Mittwoch
In Richtung Nörvenich starten. Über eine Info wäre ich Dir sehr dankbar.
Soweit ich informiert bin werden sie nächste Woche am Freitagmorgen 28.08. wieder zurück nach Israel fliegen. Von dem her denke ich dass Mittwoch und Donnerstag noch gute Tage sein sollten.

Was ist das Flugzeug am Ende des Videos für eine Maschine? So eine Art fliegende Kommandozentrale oder was kann es?
Es hat vorne ähnlich dicke Backen wie die RC-135 Rivet Joint. Denke fliegende Kommandozentrale, elektronische Kriegsführung oder die Gegenstelle zum zuvor beschriebenen EHUD System....oder auch alles in einem (;-)

Das ist eine Gulfstream EL/W-2085. Und ja, fliegende Kommandozentrale kann man es schon nennen. Die war auch im Einsatz bei der Operation Orchard, bei der ein syrischer Atomreaktor von den Israelis zerstört wurde. Dort haben die beiden Gulfstreams starke (und falsche) Radarsignale ausgesendet, welche die echten Radarechos unterdrückten, und so der syrischen Luftabwehr ein falsches Radarbild eingespielt.

Impressive climbing rates. But these sandy camos are irrelevant to a Central European landscape.
Steep climbouts are SOP for the Israeli's. Gets them out of range of ground threats quicker.
