really been excited for this reaction. the closest thing bring me the horizon has done to this one is deathbeds i think but i love how this still song follows the theme of how society is fucked- oli has stated that amy lee is the voice of mother nature and oli is mankind, and if you really think about it, our relationship with mother nature is one hell of an abusive one. the line "haunting your own house" really got me, and that moment when "you know you cant breathe on your own" isnt metaphorical, it's literal- humankind will suffocate and end up killing ourselves if we continue this pattern of abuse towards nature
This song and 1x1 are tied as my two favorites because I relate to them so much. Even though One Day isn’t technically love song in a normal sense but the way it’s written makes it seem that way so I relate but man it having that deeper meaning of being the relationship between Mother Nature and humans just brings another level to it.
