Awesome video....breathtaking. I've seen rivers in Idaho, Wyoming , Colorado and Montana and there certainly are bigger rapids, extreme drops and on and on everywhere, but for shear beauty, this little river in my backyard of Salem is unrivaled. It's beautiful classic Oregon. What would have made it so much better for me is rather than the chosen music, a simple narrative of where the paddlers were and any given moment, a description of the spot, the techniques, perhaps some local color ("Oh shit...I lost it there..."). Point being, not everyone digs the music and I know it's yours and your pick, but who knows...maybe Bach or Buffalo Springfield or Mozart, whatever. Anyway, great job, don't worry about my opinion on music, it's just my gig. I listened to this with my own music and was enthralled. You did some brilliant, brilliant film making in an incredible unspoiled area on one of the most beautiful bits of water in the northwest. Thank you. Peace.....David Rehm Salem OR

I often don't know what to say and prefer to allow for the music (which often has subtle lyrical or thematic connections to the place, the activities or name of the run) to create a space for individual interpretation. I also encourage alternate sound tracks as you've done and am always open to questions about the specifics of a run. Video editing takes a lot of time and patience, and I do them A) for myself to relive the moment in idle times, or B) to give back to the community with beta and inspiration to try a new run. Great, really great video, and I really loved the music, which is as sublime as the journey on this pristine river! I'll be revisiting this on rainy nights when I need a little escape.
first off i want to say i give this video 5/5 stars. the only thing is i would have liked to hear the sound from the gopro instead of the music (no offense), it would just make me feel like im right there. this is one of the best kayaking videos on youtube. is there any way you could upload another one of these without music please? either way thank you for this video PS i liked / subscribed. if you are ever in middle tn check out the caney fork river great falls area and the upper caney fork in van buren county. there are videos on youtube ill post links if you want
