Staff Bikes: Dan's Triumph T100 Bonneville

- Camera Dan took some time out from behind the lens to talk us through the mods he’s made to his 2017 Triumph T100 Bonneville.
Being stuck in London with no access to tools or equipment for a full-on custom build, let alone somewhere to park one, Dan opted for a brand new Bonnie on an ever popular PCP deal allowing him to enjoy new bike reliability while leaving a few pennies in the jar for upgrades and travelling on the thing. A work in progress (all part of the fun) his T100 sounds way better thanks to an X-pipe de-cat and was recently fitted with a TEC Bike Parts tail tidy with Motogadget pins and a pair of Pirelli MT60RS. He’s made a few other tweaks along the way and the novelty is yet to wear off, he’s on the thing every weekend and we’re expected a good few changes over the summer.

What did you use to connect the rear signals to the bike??. Wicked bike btw
I'm wondering the same as@@barrettandrewd --- how are you connecting the rear signals to the bike?
@@fxfitz He used the new wiring who came with the fender eliminator from rec bike parts.
I appreciate but my turn signals work good and flash good. What It does not work is what you call in your video 360.
When I turn on the hazard, they don't work at all. All led, front and rear analog pods and stop light motone.

In my opinion, this may be the most aesthetically pleasing bike. I absolutely love this. Well done.

Thanks Dan and thanks for being the first person I spoke to after riding my newly acquired/just-passed-test Triumph Street Twin in to the Bike Shed a week or so ago and grabbing a chat with me. Couldn't have felt more welcomed and the story of your journey to riding inspiring along with your actual journeys! Now jumped in with both feet and a member at BSMC. Many mods to do on mine as we discussed but might just enjoy the bike semi-stock for a while before going down that route.

I think you sold me on the those m-blaze indicators. X-pipe is a must for the Bonnies. I did the de-cat and BC Predator shortys at the first service. Well worth it.

Tyres are the same as Ducati Scrambler and the back lasts 4500-5000 miles. Front probably good for another 2k. Loving the look.

Thanks. Talking with some Triumph people here, it sounds like Triumph does not provide remap for new Bonnies. 🤷♂️. I might just do the x-pipe and TEC’s new camshaft (check that out, it looks very promising) I’ll keep researching this.
And yes, I did use the menu settings to adjust the hyper flash, thank you.

Yes they’re great aren’t they! I’d like to put one on this but would have to make a modified side panel. It’s on the to do list!

Hey Paul… sorry for the delay in this… I’ve only just seen it. The rear is a 150/70 17 and the front a 110/80 18. Hope that helps!

Dan - Thing of beauty. Quick Question: You mentioned trimming and crimping “connectors” to make the new LED lights work. Do you have any articles or videos that you’d suggest on how to do that? I’ve already got the MBlaze bulbs and the mounts, but don’t know how to cut / mount the wires.
Not my style of bike but that looks and sounds awesome!
