Braden, these are getting better good job. One recommendation I have is to start each of these with a better run down of the deck and how it wins. Like actually spend some time on it. Remember we are coming into this video cold a lot of times and I spend time looking at the deck and honestly I need to read the primer before I really know what's going on. I think if you did that you could really up the desire of these and grab a bigger audience. But, I will end like I started, good job keep it up!
I've been brewing a mid-high power Orvar for a while (and with proxies make a cEDH one) and love seeing other decks for combos and what pieces are common between my build and others'. I love that spell seeker combo because I accidentally have most of it in my list save the Transmute artifact and the jewel, the latter of which I own anyway! But oof that transmute artifact, proxies are a cEDH player's best friend! Even without jewel you can use gilded lotus for infinite mana and win off a storm spell like Brain Freeze. Also, speaking of Brain Freeze, that aquitecht's will combo with mystic sanctuary is interesting because with high tide and Shimmering mirage (2 mana instant, land becomes basic land type of choice until EoT draw a card) you get infinite mana, going plus 1 after every Aquitect's cast and infinite storm. Make of that what you will. Great video!
I'm a little lost on what exactly the "Win-Con" is. I looked through the deck list and read the sequences but it ends at the coveted jewel and whim draw combo. So you draw you deck, afterwards maybe create infinite mana with cloud of faeries and/or recycle your deck, but then what? I didn't see any extra turn spells to allow you to attack with your newly created tokens and I didn't see a labman, jace or thassa's oracle to win off of draws. Am I just missing something?
I recently built a high power casual version of Orvar and its so much fun to play. Something very different to whats out there. This video makes me want to brew a competitive list. small note, the video title has a typo in it. not sure if it's of any consequence now that it's 2022.
why the snow covered lands? I personally am putting them into my deck so I can run Merit Lage's Slumber.... copy that and / or copy Merit Lage when he is out to make huge indestructible flyers as one of my win conditions.
Question for Erik! Do you have a optimized list for non CEDH players? Unfortunately, my play group does not have a cedh pod and would love to be able to play an optimized/ fun shenanigans list. Thanks in advance!
you have dramatic reversal in the deck already, would it not be almost free to include the scepter in the list aswell? you can get a lot of value from copying the scepter too.
even in casual this card is nuts. One time I cast sakashima and played ghostly flicker to have 4 orvars, then just started making tons of gilded lotuses and agents of treachery
I love the channel, but this video is a lot of talk without anything being said. You fail to detail the win con, how the deck plays, or even the combos that are supposed to run the deck. I feel like you are saying here is a deck, now figure out everything on your own.

That was the most convoluted combo line I ever seen

More utility creatures, less infinte lines. tadaa
I pulled an alt art of him in my pre release, can’t wait to build this deck.

Why would ghostly flicker give you 4 orvars? He can’t target himself
@@rangodash if sakashima is a copy of orvar, and I cast ghostly flicker targeting both, it works
Sweet deck man!
great video guys. as soon as i saw orvar, i too thought it would make a good cedh commander.
Very hungry gonna make a grilled cheese now
Orvar not Ovar..
LOVE IT.
