Love love love this lady! She’s the fashion guru of scarves and shawls! I’ve crocheted dozens of them and didn’t give that much thought to fastening and the many ways to wear them! The recipients always ask for more “shawl or stick pins” too!!! Seems like shawls are really “in” this year! Thanks for your teaching us “old dogs” some “new tricks”!!!
Hi Bonnie and welcome Laura! I have learned so much from Laura on how to wear our shawls and your pins and ware to add to our shawls! Love your ware accessories! I really love the dragonfly and the sea turtle charms! God bless you two! Thank you Bonnie for sharing your friend Laura. I have thoroughly enjoyed this video!❤🙂🌞
What a cool video!! I love all the different ways shown to style scarves and shawls. Thanks for pointing out how diagonal lines pull the eye to the face. All of the tips and tricks are very helpful!
This was very fun!! I love Bonnie and the group ... I loved this video. Thank you both for sharing with everyone this knowledge... my mother would have loved all these options. All her life she encouraged us women to be ladies and this idea of showcasing our work. Our interest in other peoples work and being an art display ... I am excited about the designs to showcase our artwork/Fabric... decisions... brilliant ladies just brilliant! 😘💋😇⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
So wonderful of you to bring this lovely lady's ideas and products to our attention. Just a few days ago, my sister and I were talking about the need for closures of some kind on cocoon cardigans (my current delima), shawls and scarves! I'm heading over to her site NOW! Thank you so much Bonnie! You are an awesome lady!
@@BonnieBayCrochet I tried to place an order to purchase the dragonfly stick. Was disappointed to find that I couldn't pay with a credit card - seems they only accept Paypal, which I don't use. I still think it was wonderful of you to introduce your friend.
Bonnie, I wanted to let you know that I received an email from Laura Bellows with Jul Designs. She offered to complete an invoice & send it to me along with a link where I can pay by credit card! I call that EXCELLENT customer service!
I really, really enjoyed today's video! It was very informative. Your items are just lovely. And your guest was just fantastic. I looked at her site and found many wonderful things I've been looking for, for the longest time. I have several wraps and shawls that I could not find just the right shawl pin and/or closure for. Thank you. Have a good day. Stay safe, stay healthy.
Firstly I have to say your Liberty shawl is stunning as are the red shawl & the mustard colour stole, beautiful pieces, Laura's accessories for knitwear are a great idea something I've been thinking about myself instead of shawl brooches or pins that can open & get lost(as they are expensive), great styling techniques more sophisticated for the modern woman, thank you Bonnie great idea ❤👍
Thank you again Bonnie! I want to give a very special thanks to Laura at Jul Designs. I had a slight problem with placing an order for the beautiful Black Dragonfly Shawl Stick. Within minutes of my comment about it, Laura contacted me with an alternate solution to my problem. I call that EXCELLENT customer service! Thank you again for introducing us!
Thank you Bonnie for introducing us to Laura. I plan to wear my shawls more often now that I see these creative ideas. Already placed my order - beautiful designs. And the coupon code was a plus....Thanks!! Have a great week friends.
Thank you so much for this video. Loved the decorative buttons and closures you used to accentuate them. I am not a shawl person but this has given a whole new perspective on wearing them. TFS
This video was fascinating, especially the discussion of how arranging a shawl extends the art of the piece. I placed an order, including a birthday gift for my mother in law to go with the shawl I crocheted her for Christmas!
Thank you so much for this video demonstrating how to use these beautiful closures. I learned so much about how to style shawls. I agree with you about looking less “grannyish” 😆
That was awesome! Thank you Bonnie learned so much and can’t wait for the pattern release of the burgundy asymmetrical shawl. Can’t decide which embellishments I want to buy.
I like the idea of the shawl cuff for silk yarn. I've been trying out several weights of silk yarn from Darn Good Yarn, which is also fair trade and supports families in need in India. The silk is much less elastic than wool, so I wouldn't want to put anything through the fabric, but silk gives a nice shine and it's so soft.
Just 1 minute into this video, and I love her shawl. Her creativity to take shawls to the next level. By the way, she said she works mainly with knit shawls. Is the shawl that she is wearing knit? This is a pattern that would be lovely to create. Now, it is time for me to crochet my first shawl and play around with ways to embellish it. This is going to be a fun and creative video to watch.
The first shawl is knit, but most of the others are crochet. I have a playlist of many crochet shawls here: th-cam.com/play/PLoIugZBYOS0VaAQgJLhKeoAOFSOps7Ryi.html
Thank you. Please keep designing closures (& please make some affordable for us old ladies who love shawls). I use a walker and have trouble keeping shawls on. They come untied and sneak off your shoulders. Then you run over them or get tangled in them wh is both dangerous and damaging. The clasps w wood stabbers also damage the garment. So keep designing and we will keep purchasing.❤
Here's a video I made with Laura of JUL Designs. She is the source of these beautiful closures and she is also amazing at styling shawls. The ordering information is in the video description of this video (along with a discount code)
I would love some of those Pedestal buttons but I don’t use PayPal. Too bad PayPal is the only buying option my order was $31 then shipping took it to over 40 but only paying option is PayPal
So sorry about that Tammy-Lee. Usually PayPal takes other credit options as well. You may try contacting Laura to see if there are other options available.

Fabulous ideas on how to wear shawls! This just makes my pattern designing soooo much more FUN!!!! Bonnie, I LOVE your channel!!!!!! 😊😊❤️
Thank you!! I so appreciate your kind support!
That is the coolest thing I have seen in a long time. Wow it just makes the shawl even more beautiful
Yes indeed! Laura's goal is for all of us to get the shawls we make out of boxes and drawers and actually enjoy them!
Thank you so much for all the ideas. This is simply awesome all the ways you can demonstrate your artwork. Love it.
Laura's styling has me a whole new perspective on wearing and 'showing' my pride of work. THANK YOU both.
