I'm 6'4 tall and considered a giant in a predominantly Hispanic population here in my hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico where most people are short in stature. I relate with Hugo. He's my favorite Capcom fighting character. Thanks for elaborately articulating his story. I really enjoyed it! My wife always tells me that I am a gentle giant. I guess I have a lot in common with Hugo.
well, andre used to be around 7 something feet tall whe he was young, and very athletic, some swear he could do a backflip, impresive for a man of his size, but that was waay before he gained worldwide recognition, at that point he was the massive andre we all know, and had lost a few inches i used to be 6'2 as a teenager, now at 39 yrs old i can barely reach 5'11 stand in completly straight
I remember having this epiphany only a couple of years ago, where I realized Andore was meant to be pronounced with the Japanese approximate phonetic for Andre the Giant, as in "A-n-do-re" (ah-'n-doh-ray). While I know you don't like people commenting on pronunciation, I'm willing to bet almost everybody else pronounces Andore as "Andore" anyway (including myself for decades). Love your channels and content regardless. :)

time to clear up a couple things in the video: the final fight games has Hugo (named Andore) and his family parts of the mad gear gang, him in pink, his alleged son, Andore Jr. in red, his Uncle U. Andore in grey, his Father F. Andore in yellow and his Grandfather G. Andore in blue, the latter 2 together as a mini-boss. the following games would only have him and Jr., with the others nowhere in sight. Then, for Street Fighter 4, his backstory shows he grew up on a Farm in Germany, and that the reason he loves Potatoes is because his caring mother had told him to "grow big like a Potato", which also lead him to see them as both a symbol and metaphor for masculinity and growing strong.
I must thank Hugo for being in Street Fighter 3! Though we've had our differences with the family in Final Fight...I thank him for bringing that Beautiful, Wonderfully, Animated Poison to his intros and victories!!!!!
The Street Fighter giants are technically within the realm of realism. Both Hugo and Abigail are about a foot shorter than the tallest recorded man in history. Abigail is actually 2 inches shorter than the tallest man alive today.

love hugo(& poison. :3) and think they're really awesome!!! :3 like the reference to andre the giant vs. hulk hogan in his intro with alex(especially in huge impact's intro.),were my favorite moments of street fighter x tekken & the ryu final manga(felt bad for him losing to sagat though love him and poison's interactions with ryu.),find it funny in svc chaos he resembles poison when demitri uses midnight bliss on him/the ones you fight in final fight are mostly his family and badass he's not afraid of m. bison and even tells him off/helps fight gill in unlimited's awesome fight(that i want 6 to bring in.), love how much of a gentle giant he is in his relationship with his thick manager poison(love his endings having him training with her carrying her,roxy and the other mad gear members on his back and the cast/even gill join the h.w.a along with ryu having fun to ken's shock would love to see that in 6.) and hope we see the 2 come back for 6 as regulars.

If I remember correctly, you fight Hugo, his brother or cousin Jr, his Father, his Uncle and Grandfather in the first Final Fight, then in 2 you fight him, Jr. and Grandfather, and finally in 3, you fight Hugo, Jr. and Father Andore. If there's a new Final Fight, they should give Father and Uncle Andore mustaches just to differentiate them from the younger Andores.
