The whole entirety of "souls" franchise actually started NOT at Demon's Souls or even King's Field, Flash. It began with a very crappy game called "EverGrace", which is a literal "Demon's Souls ver. 0.0.5. pre-alpha" in a sense, straight up. It's a bad, VERY bad game, but, hey. That's where it started. King's Field franchise is different, though some things were backported from it to the Souls franchise. There are also two Shadow Tower games, which influenced Souls a lot as well.
I have not played any of the souls game, but I didn’t play that game lies of P. It was a great game and I am looking forward to playing my first souls game here pretty soon.
