Both Raz from the original game and 2 are capable of great feats of confidence, but Raz from 2 has a lot of moments where he sounds kinda like he's about to cry.

Cause within like a few days he watched Dogen blow up squirrels, met a rat named Harold and spent time in his head via clairvoyance and befriended it, Harold then reoccurred and helped out in the second game, and he also had to witness Sam yelling and abusing the animals, also he probably felt bad about abusing his sisters mini horse. He's witnessed a lot of animal abuse in 3 days

Such a phenomenal series. It's such a breath of fresh air to the platforming genre. Psychonauts (PS2) is a gem, and its surrealistic approach doesn't get enough praise compared to bigger studios like Insomiac, ND, SP. The PS2 era is just that defining.
Yeah, literally the only game with the same kind of characters variety + quality is Bully. They both have a ton of people with different origin and living their life. Of course, they had a different amount of resources available, but Psychonauts make you really go and talk to everybody because you want to see more of their bizarre personalities. It's insane how many jokes are there and how much people roast each other.
