If you like games like Super Mario 64 and Banjo Kazooie, then you will probably enjoy the gameplay of Psychonauts. Their gameplay is very similar to each other, but instead of jumping into paintings, you go into other people's minds. Psychonauts also has a funny story, and the characters are written/voiced well. Every time i watch more of the original Psychonauts I'm reminded of how much better of a character Raz was here than in the new one. He had agency, knew what he wanted, he was willing to fight with his fellow students if they were messing with him, he wasn't a jerk and he tried to help people but it wasn't all of his personality, he was so much more than a doormat like he is in the sequel.
Yeah, I didn't rlly like how Raz was in the sequel either, and I hated the interns, maybe except dogen's sister. Still, it was cool that we got to see and talk to his family as well as the psychic six and the exceptional level design is still in tact. So all in all im pretty happy with the sequel
I think they changed his character because he actually had a chance to experience everything he had wanted. He had a lot going for him that he didn’t want to mess up, and the important figures he was surrounded by most definitely put a bit more pressure on him. He’s still got a lot of his old personality in him, but he’s not just surrounded by goofy kids anymore. His old attitude would’ve gotten him in way more trouble. If anything, he’s way more grown up in the sequel than here, and he experiences so much more traumatizing things in the sequel, too. But yeah, Norma- I mean the interns sucked, except Sam. She was a delight.
I think at the end it returned a bit. He clearly teases lizzie but also gives clear boundaries about the hazing. Also doesn't hesitate to show his dislike for norma. Clearly prefers Lizzie over Norma when he greets the other kindly and the other very coldly. So I'd say his confidence returned. And I'm glad. I think by the end his old self had gained confidence again and he went toe to toe with maligua. Something the orginal members struggled with. In her own mind. And he's being clearly reorganized for all his accomplishments. I'd say a 3rd game with him aged up a bit and good time skip would be really interesting. Seeing our lad grown up a bit.

Every other psychic in the series so far has either spent way longer officially working on/with their powers than Raz or isn’t very strong, and Raz, a 10 year old with no prior experience, came to match up to them in power with some tutoring in under a week. His mind is also naturally tough as hell. In the Rhombus of Ruin, Raz’s mind was way less affected by the Psilerium(is that the name?) than everyone else. Hell, one of the first things he does in the series is make three experienced agents briefly struggle to pull him in and completely shut out Oleander from reading his mind. Bruh, in the second game he gives the second in command a nearly out of control and permanent gambling addiction as well as nearly getting Sasha and Milla killed because of it, dude had a few things to learn at the agency.
@@dragenfire68 Okay fist off that wasn't entirely Raz's fault, the only reason he did that was to go on the mission and help find out who the mole was. Sure maybe things got out of hand a bit but come on, if she wasn't so uptight and paranoid Raz wouldn't have done anything.
It's kinda hard to believe that a person that just got done saving the world and dealing with his bullies would immediately get tricked by bullies into messing with one of the motherlobe's best agent's mind. He already learnt that lesson from Sasha Six...

5:34 I feel like my female friend who constantly teases me is always thinking that about me
For some reason I can hear Moxxie (hell of a Boss) in raz voice
Likely because it's the same voice actor

these 10 years old people have a relationship while i have 4 ex and no love interest
Is it me, or is Lili’s skin color a lot more yellow in the sequel, I know this isn’t the sequel, but it’s strange that’s the one thing that differentiate her between the games?
You tall people
Silence short people
What about those who are growing?
Thier Love Relationship Remind me of Moxxie X Millie.
Lili and Millie rhythm and both Raz and Moxxie are voiced by Richard Horwitz, so the connection is definitely there.😶
@@keondramcintyre3444 Yep.

10:01 Uhm that thing looks very phallic. Maybe don't do that.

So is the first game Raz has to learn how to be a Psychonaut, and in the second game he has to learn again?
He never really had an opportunity in the first game. The staff wanted to send him home
Bruh, in the second game he gives the second in command a nearly out of control and permanent gambling addiction as well as nearly getting Sasha and Milla killed because of it, dude had a few things to learn at the agency.
@@doraeguyakaneddie6586 But they gave him an official badge!! They even took him to save the grand head!

Wait he didn't just hear...

"wait he didnt just hear-"

10:02 oh no

Boy oh boy the girl has a crush XD
I ship it :P
They're literally cannonly shipped.
No need to actually ship something that already sailed.
So damn cute!
And why all the meat?
7:25 lol.
I wish I had Raz's powers 😂👍
