They were in the recording studio on Jan. 26. They have to lay low right now due to "contractual silence." They will be releasing music THIS YEAR though. We, fans, just have to wait a little bit longer. We've waited 5 whole years we can wait a bit longer. They are working on an Album, which will be released later this year. So sad that they didn't pursue their album release due to the lack of attention to HotHouse. Hopefully they eventually make another attempt. This is the 3rd shelved album from them. I really loved Insomniatic.
Yes - they were developing two different albums, which were to be their last albums w Hollywood Records, but they got shelved + ended their contract w the label. They then started self-funding this newest album, but for whatever reason it's shelved indefinitely now. :-(
I follow them on twitter and they said they have been working on a new album but they reverted back to their old name Aly & AJ instead of 78violet. They also said that Boy will be on the new album!!!
I don't know why people say this is different and they don't like it. Yes its a little different, but it still sounds like an evolution of their music. It's getting better and more creative and I just can't handle how much I love this
I'm glad my girls' first concert was theirs. They were sweet and fun, their mom was so nice. I honestly had no idea they were 78violet. Amazing powerhouses.
They need more recognition. They were popular back in the day. I bet they would've been popular again, despite the hatius, but the name change kinda stunted that. I missed them though. Lmao I used to have the biggest crush on them. I was like 6 lol. I'm turning 16 now.

Beautiful music!!! Can hear it over and over especially driving in the rain or a foggy day, it creates such a nice ambience regardless that the lyrics are about regretting being with a "boy". Love it!

there voices together are great, there both very different which can create a good contrast, plus the music and instruments are soulful so it works beautifully with the music
These girls were my musical inspiration when I was younger, potential break up song being my favourite song. I never thought I would find something that beat it but now I have, I find it odd how as I've grown up my music tastes have changed and this song just so happens to be exact type of music I love :)

I love the fact that they didn't decide to stick to the same stuff for their entire music career, yet they still manage to make it into something cool! 78Violet is great!
