THIS is so important! Im sobbing. I'm scared for the future of the children in my life too. To Americans: No matter who is in office, we cannot get complacent. The roots of trauma and their consequences are so overlooked and violence in the form of policy is so normalized here. Not having affordable healthcare as a rich nation when every other developed nation does IS VIOLENCE. The outcome of that is immense suffering, crime, and death. Both parties are beholden to corporations so very little gets done. It's ridiculous. WE NEED REAL CHANGE. Don't stop holding our politicians accountable no matter how much you like them or think they are better than the other guy. They will always do the bare minimum when they think their position is safe simply because "the other guy is obviously worse". Please don't forget this. Don't get complacent. If Kamala gets voted in and doesn't start using her power to put the pressure on our legislators to finally get rid of corporate lobbying or doesn't AT LEAST start heavily pushing for five star voting(or ranked choice)... she's not serious about democracy. And if we don't substantially weaken the hold the duopoly and their rich donors have over our democracy, we'll just have a Trump/MAGA 2.0 and it will be more successful than the last. So unfortunately, I have to vote for the one candidate who is outspoken and takes action to diminish possible warfare.
