    where have you been my whole life??!!!this is just about a perfect tutorial in every way; the pop up box that displays the notes, fingering,chords, etc in time to playing the song, the other pop up box that shows you along with close up of your hand positions, your pithy comments about band and recording dynamics and nuances, just too much excellent/thorough stuff to even attempt to put into words or maybe I hate typing and just want to get back to playing so thank you TU TU you deserve to break through the algo glass ceiling. Thanks for setting the gold standard for gtr tutorials looking forward to more

    I mean Chris, great to see a really good dissection of one of the best dance hits of the 80's. It certainly deserves to be studied. Brilliant job

    You really nailed the chords and the little nuances that make up the sauce. What I was equally blown away by was your own licks at the end when you brought your game to the party….wicked man. You’re real good. Thanks.

    Very cool video! I picked up a lot. This was a song I was working on and finding it hard to pick up all the little intricate riffs that you picked up on. You really bought this track to life. My fiancé wanted me to back her up in this song and I want to bring the fire when I do.

    Smooth. The rhythmic stuff required reminds me of James Brown. It ain't easy. It's like my cats. You try to pick them up and they easily slide out of your hands. The cat is faster than you can even think.. I memorized what Larry Coryell said verbatim. The point of the improvisation isn't based so much on harmonic challenges as it is rhythmic challenges.

    great video, great, concise breakdown. You explain without ever dumbing it down. Sometimes I feel like people don't know who their audience is. I'm sure it's mostly GB players who have to learn this song for today! So thanks for being right to the point...

    Great instruction on 1 of my favorite songs. Ain't Nobody, very detailed in going over every guitar chords being played in the song as well as all the licks that are being played, l certainly will be looking forward to learning more from your video post, also do you think you could do a video instruction on James Brown Soul Pride(its a guitar instrumental that James Brown recorded in the 60's)
    Thanks. Again Great instruction

    I never heard this particular song before, and after hearing those bass lines, that would take me, as slow as I am, to catch onto that. Also, you should hear Chaka Khan sing Bacharack's Alfie, mainly done by Cher. That last note she sings at the end of Alfie just can't be physically possible to do.

    Fantastic playing and great job. The only little nitpick comment I'll make is one should avoid mixing sharps and flats, so the F# is "really" a Gb. That's a super small thing, for sure.

    Hello Chris, thanks for your video. You did really nail down the right chords to make this song sound great. As the chords are not so easy to catch for me, would it be possible to get your script or notation with the chords? Of course I can make a donation via PayPal. The effort behind has to be rewarded. Hey Chris, you for making this video. Could I ask you a question, please? So I'm a beginner with absolutely no experience and my hands are about 19 centimetres in length. I primarily would like to play pop, indie rock, and 80s (I guess that's: disco, funk, so also like this song). I dislike ACDC and will not play any metal. Would you recommend me a Squier Affinity Telecaster or Stratocaster (HSS/SSS)?

    • @ChrisHalo
      @ChrisHalo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I remember having a conversation a few weeks ago with someone about this very question of yours. My best advice is to get your hands on as many guitars in your price range as possible. See what FEELS GOOD in your hands as you play.... This is Key......
      If there are used gear stores or sections of stores in your area, definitely try those as you'll generally have a selection of higher quality instruments that have depreciated in value but often may be nicely "worn in" or even customized to better than original specs. As long as the hardware and parts are not falling apart, hah! As for the Affinity series I couldn't comment too much as I personally don't have much experience with them, but as long as it feels good and is in your price range, I'd say go for it! Let me know what you end up with!
      p.s. can't forget about how IT LOOKS when you hold it! LOL

  • @johnparker2636

    This is a great lesson but the annotations hopping round the fretboard are driving me crazy -wish they weren't there...

    • @ChrisHalo
      @ChrisHalo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is actually a helpful comment. What's better for your style of learning?

    • @johnparker2636
      @johnparker2636 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ChrisHalo Sorry Chris I didn't mean to sound critical- just frustrated that I'm trying to glance the chord shape real time then realise that the fret position has changed. You have done a great job with this song. For me it would be better to fix the fret position wherever and go from there....

    • @ChrisHalo
      @ChrisHalo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@johnparker2636 not a problem at all! Seriously thanks for the idea. I haven’t done many of these and would like to do more and wanna find out what’s helpful. Personally I have a hard time staying on one chord, sometimes doing “too much”. Which might sound fun, but not super useful for an instructional video. Haha anyways Not sure if I can fix it for this one and repost, but will definitely take into consideration for the next one. Thanks again John
