2:14 The kilt is a development of the traditional (male) highland dress known as a plaid. This was a large woollen blanket which was wrapped around the body and secured with a belt at the waist. It functioned as garment, tent and blanket. After the most recent Jacobite rising, it was adapted (rather than adopted) as a military uniform for the newly-formed Highland Regiments which were created to let the former clansmen continue fighting (on behalf the British crown this time). 4:20 Don't worry ! Four players per side (two turns each), toss a coin to see who starts. The captain of the team lurks at the target end to indicate how their player is to aim and how hard to slide it. The brush is used to hasten the stone without touching it on the way to the target and your opponent can brush any stone that goes past the target to hasten it into the dead area at the end of the ice.

There are some great videos about Scotland - that wasn't one of them. Pretty trashy and uninformed. Scotland is an amazing country with fantastic scenery, deep history and great people, well worth your time looking out some better videos and learning more. They were correct about the unicorn being the national animal though, it can be seen facing off against the lion in our Royal Coat of Arms.
Hi James, the first clock tower that was shown at 3:15 in the video was in Edinburgh, its the clock tower of the Balmoral Hotel, and the second clock at 4:47 was as you rightly recognised the Elizabeth tower (Big Ben) .
Yes that got me scratching my head as well.....does she not realise that Scotland is in Britain!! And everything cost dollars this and dollars that......we don't use dollars in Scotland we use pounds sterling. Terrible video.
Wallace was not a highlander; he did not wear a kilt. The knee-length kilt that we see today didn't come around until the early 18th century. Long after Wallace was dead x
The Kilt was a battle dress thing really. Back when the clans existed & they were at war with each other, tweed was the cloth that was used for clothing. And it wasn't cheap, so wearing tweed trousers during battle obv caused a lot of garment damage by blood stain or being cut. So the kilt was designed to wear in to battle so that it could be easily removed before battle & put back on after, without it getting damaged... Yes, Scotsmen battled with their junk out, no underwear. Which is why you'll also hear the ancient question 'what does a Scotsman wear under his kilt?' Because if he is wearing it properly, the answer is, he wears nothing under it. A 'true' Scotsmen goes commando... And as for the getting confused at the start with where everything was, if you listen to what she is saying instead of trying to work things out in your head you might be less confused (It's a common thing I see with US reactors learning about the UK.) As the pic of the Elizabeth Tower was being shown, she was telling you ppl think Bond & Holmes came from London, hence the pic of London... The clock tower you seen before that was in Edinburgh. And it's not really a tower as such, as it sits on a building instead of standing tall on it's own (I think it was the Balmoral Hotel on Princes St). And there's quite a lot of clock towers on buildings in most major Scottish cities... As for #7, although rue, it wasn't a unique thing to Scotland, that was a global issue... And Scotland is not a Catholic country, it's mainly Christian but not Catholic. Catholics were seen as a minority at one time & treated the same. Employers were told not to employ them, to the point employers put on job adverts, 'Catholics need not apply.'
Curling is simple. The idea is to get as many of your "stones" closer to the bullseye than the other team. The brushes are used to cause friction and melt a thin layer of ice into water to lubricate the stone and to help steer it. Simples.
Going into battle naked painted blue was something the picts and celts done around the time of the Romans. The kilt started as a big wooly blanket. It was called the great plaid. You wore a shirt and then you wrapped the blanket around you in a specific way. It got folded a certain way then you lay on it and ran a belt around it to secure it to you in place of trousers. There was enough left over to pull up over your shoulder as a cape in bad weather, or to be pinned to the shoulder of your shirt in nice weather. You slept in the blanket at night. It was worn into battle because it was all most people had. Over centuries it got cut in half, the pleats got sewed in and tabs attached to make it easier to wear. It's a tradition. The thing about clan tartans is also something that developed more over time. It was always part of the Scottish soldiers uniform and the reputation of our soldiers over the centuries meant the kilt was considered manly and official wear at weddings, parties and such. It's traditional in the same way Greeks wear slippers with hooked toes and tassles or Egyptians wore fez's..
Ok I’m Scottish and sorry but most of this is untrue lol love how the still managed to get the hate of Donald Trump in on a Scottish video. There’s loads of good ones out there. A good one is Scottish inventions (tv,phone, penicillin, fridge, flushing toilet, steam engine, radar, stamps, steam boat(the Waverley still sails from my hometown today) teller bank machines just to name a few🤷🏻♀️
The unicorn is our national animal because englands is the lion and those two animals don’t like one another the same as the sibling rivalry between Scotland and England. Take care 😘
Not so. The unicorn is a symbol of virginity associated with the Virgin Mary. The Scottish coat of arms is supported (held up) by two unicorns. The English coat of arms is supported by two lions, the symbol of boldness, kinglyness, and courage. When we merged as equals we took one supporter from each shield.
I like your videos, but this wasn't a good Scottish video to react to because the woman doing the voiceover pronounced so many things wrong and some of the things she says are just plain wrong. Some good videos would be Airborne lens' Scotland Bucketlist, touropia's 10 best places to visit in Scotland, Wolter's World 10 Shocks of Visiting Scotland, Samuel and Audrey's 20 things to do in Glasgow, Kakibot has a whole channel basically dedicted to Edinburgh and VisitScotland has some good videos too. I'd also recommend looking at videos of the NC500 road trip. Other than Samuel and Audtrey, there are also some other good travel vloggers who have visited Scotland including Daneger and Stacey, Haley Takes on the World, The Endless Adventure and Kinging it. These won't all make good reactions but they're still worth watching!
Has to be the worst video I've ever seen about my home country. From mispronunciation of Edinburgh ( as usual), to thinking England is Britain, to talking about inventions and not mentioning the TV , I could go on. You should maybe check out Scotland's influence in The USA and Canada, might be of interest to you. Scots helped set up both countries education, medical and political systems. Most of your former presidents are of Scottish or Scots Ulster descent. Most of the civil war generals on both sides had Scottish descent. Even the term 'hillbilly ' is derived from Scots immigrants to the USA.
Her assertion that Scotland is a mainly Catholic country is (as with much else in this video) wrong/misleading. The majority of Scots aligning themselves with any particular religious tradition belong to the Church of Scotland, a protestant institution. These were the findings of the last Scottish census: Not religious (36.7%) Church of Scotland (32.4%) Catholic Church (15.9%) Other Christian (5.5%) Islam (1.4%) Other religions (1.2%) Not stated (7.0%) Re child abuse in religious settings, there are plenty of well-documented cases in other religious groups too including the Anglican/Episcopalian Church, Salvation Army, Jehovah Witnesses, and the list goes on. The Catholic Church's part is so widespread partly because it's the most massive worldwide religious organization, but the vow of so-called priestly celibacy and resultant sexual repression has a good deal to do with it as well.
Thank you for indicating that it is not only the Catholic Church that suffers from these issues, my Christian brother! I must point out, though, that priestly celibacy and sexual repression have little to nothing to do with abuse cases, regardless of the religious group concerned. Predators will insinuate themselves into whatever occupation will give them easy access to victims, therefore religious institutions are an attractive prospect for them. As are teaching, coaching, Boys' Brigade/Girl Guides, schools, etc. The issue isn't celibacy - it's infiltration. It is worth mentioning that true and virtuous Catholic priests (96% of them) are not sexually oppressed. It is easy to think this because sexualisation is such an unfortunately massive part of our society and becoming more so as the years go by. Taking a vow of celibacy does not mean Priests are choosing to oppress a natural inclination. It means freeing oneself from the yearnings and urges thrown in our path by an increasingly Godless society who view sex as a disposable, pleasurable pastime and not the procreative act of love it was intended to be between a man and woman within the bonds of sacred matrimony. Is it always easy for them? Of course not! Then why do it? Because it is a holy way to prove their love to God. - to show Him that He is worth the sacrifice of a family, because He is the greatest love one could ever have. It's a small sacrifice to God, but it's a great one for man which is why God prizes it so highly. Anyway, just wanted to make sure you know how thankful I am that you wanted to set the record straight. From a fellow Christian (Catholic, in case it wasn't obvious!), God bless you and yours.
How can you defend the undefendable child abuse in the Roman Catholic church is endemic with the cover up by their hierachy right up to the pope making it 10 times worse. Forcing priests to be unaturally celebate is probably the main reason so please don't drag other organisations into it and don't drag Scotland into it as 90% of Catholics in Scotland are from Irish decent making it 15% of the total population 42% protestant, 40% no religion.@@karasaunty9823
I wish you every success with your channel. I bloody love Scotland. The guest video is not made in Scotland... And it shows. The Narrator uses Americanised place names and seems obsessed with money. Her compliments are undermined by a complete lack of respect for the culture and heritage. I would suggest looking to Scottish produced videos in future, if learning is your aim. Best Wishes and good luck.
The clock tower may look a bit like Elizabeth Tower (Big Ben) but it's actually part of The Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh. Interestingly the clock is always 3 minutes fast ... on purpose. The tradition goes back to 1902 and reason being the owners thought that making the clock fast would stop people being late for their train, the tradition stuck.
Actually, that was Elizabeth tower. He paused it just as they were about to say "London". That's the problem when reactors constantly pause and try to guess at something rather than react afterwards. It breaks up the storyline and disconnects things.
@@Shoomer1988 my mistake. He mentioned that it looked like Elizabeth tower a bit later on when it was Elizabeth tower. As I said, when people constantly pause it makes a mess of the vid. ✌❤🇬🇧
Can I please ask that when you watch a video about another country, that it's not made in America? Because a lot of this info is absolute nonsense and the American woman can't pronounce anything correctly. Anyway, still glad you're looking to find out about the world! :)
No idea how this list was compiled but it wouldn't be my list. James Anderson definitely to be in there with both the Kenneys. Regarding Steve Redgrave, he won all those medals whilst living with Type 1 diabetes. I would have him, Andy Murray and Lewis Hamilton as top 3 with Chris Hoy a very close 4th
Gene is MC1R Strawberry blonde here The Kilt as you see here was more adopted by the military first after the Kilt ban which banned the original Great Kilt and Earasaid (female Great kilt) which were much larger the same size as the man/woman who owned it they take the role of a multi purpose survival blanket which could be made into a tent or bag and most importantly protect you from the cold, wind and rain they also are rather good for camouflage since traditionally they were made from surrounding flora and many people also used a Hiking cane. Also...IT AINT EDINBURG! xD
The video you watched was bizarre! I'm from Scotland. Some of the pronunciation was terrible, and the use of "England", "and "Britain" wrong in some instances and would be confusing to anyone who doesn't know the facts. I'm Scottish and live in Scotland. It has its faults, like everywhere does, but it's a great place and I love living here. I enjoy visiting other countries, and have been fortunate enough to have been able to visit many, but there is nowhere I'd rather have as home than Scotland. I hope you get a chance to visit, but check out some other videos that are much more representative than this one you watched.
At 3.48 she says that you might think that Sherlock Holmes and James Bond are British. They ARE. If you're from Scotland, England, Wales or Northern Ireland then you are British - like it or not, which many in Scotland don't. I think she means 'English' when she says 'British'. KNOW THE DIFFERENCE.
So many inaccuracies in this videos it's unbelievable. The woman didn't even bother to check the pronunciation of the capital city and the way she pronounced Glenfiddich made me sick. I was quite surprised to find out Scotland is a Catholic country though. Since I'm a Scottish Catholic myself, lived all my life here, I was certain we were a minority. There's so many cool facts they could've shared but no, they went for misinformation and the fucking chilli capital 😂. My guy, no wonder you looked confused, we all were.
Like him or hate him ,Trump's mother was born in and immigrated from Scotland . He still has relatives in Scotland. This is why he is involved with things in Scotland.
Exactly, I can't believe how she ignored the fact that his Mother was born in Scotland and still had family residing there. Explains perfectly why he has a Golf Course over there

This was just a weird video. I'm a Scot and I've never heard of our elephant polo team - I actually don't think we should be using elephants in this way, so am a bit put out that this is something this video chose to spotlight! As others have said, there are much better videos out there that really showcase our incredible history, landscapes, culture and people. Keep looking for more content about Scotland - you'll learn much more relevant stuff than you will have done from this video. Oh, and I'm sure this has been clarified by others, but what you were questioning as a castle or a cathedral was most definitely a castle!
Loved the intro James!!! Like some drill rappers, ‘No face, no case!’ Lol! Some things I picked up on in the video: The first clip of the clock tower that looks like Elizabeth Tower/ Big Ben was the clock tower at the Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh. It’s beside Waverley Station so always runs 2 or 3 mins fast so people don’t miss their train! The Balmoral hotel itself is beautiful, I’ve been lucky to stay there quite a few times and love it! The last time I stayed was for a milestone birthday and they upgraded us to the JK Rowling suite when we checked in - very cool suite where JK Rowling apparently finished writing one of the Harry Potter books. It had loads of original items relating to Harry Potter on display in the suite - in locked glass cabinets! I love a free upgrade lol! Even though I only stay 40 mins on the train from Edinburgh, I love staying there for a mini break on special occasions! The 2nd time they showed a clock tower in the video, was the Tower/ Big Ben so you were right! Re ‘Dolly’ the sheep - one of my friends was part of the team of scientists from The Roslin Institute that cloned Dolly! Couple of things he told me 1. she had to be put to sleep when she was only 6 as she had a form of lung cancer - apparently totally unrelated to her being cloned. 2. She had 6 lambs - incl a set of twins and a set of triplets. 3. She was named after Dolly Parton! After her death, a taxidermist preserved Dolly and she’s now on display in the National Museum in Edinburgh. I’m sure others will have pointed it out, but the statements relating to abuse within the Catholic Church was wildly inaccurate. Yes, it has happened and is absolutely awful, but saying this occurs in ‘most’ or ‘lots’ of Catholic Churches is unfair. I think you got that from the video though. Curling is great fun - and a lot harder than it looks! Lol! Elephant Polo?!? I had no idea that was a thing in Scotland! Lol!
I always learn so much from your comments Emma. The only time I've ever heard anyone talking about a cjir h molesting children it always seems like it's a cathic church. I'm not sure why but the mainstream media (from my perspective) is always talking about some catholic church molestation scandal.
That is Edinburgh, you can see it on the top of the hill which is a non active volcano Also, that cringe feeling when the narrator said Edinburg.... It is Edinburgh, we pronounce it as Edin- Bruh
If you cannot get the name of the country right, stop right there and do something else for a living, like cleaning sewers, or tell folks the earth is flat.
She's not right there were some but the majority of them were in Ireland who covered it up the reason I know that there wasn't a big load of them in Scotland was because my mother and father were brought up in an orphanage called costorphine.and they were horrible to them
I’m not sure why she keeps referring to ’Scottish’ and‘British’ as being two separate things. People from Scotland, England, North Ireland & Wales are all referred to as ’British’.
Presently no matter if you live in England, Scotland or Wales, you are also British. You have & live under your own national flag & also the union flag. We are a union of nations, the greatest union the World has ever seen. Like it or not you are British. 🇬🇧
I agree with the comments in regards to poor reference to Scotland and Scottish culture and history. Kilts historically show which clan you belong to depending on your surname, and many other reasons that date back centuries. Also please learn how to pronounce our towns and cities! Us Scot’s are very patriotic and passionate about our country and people in it. Also we are not overly religious country and the information in regards to Catholic priests is not specifically just in Scotland. Abuse scandals related to catholic priests is known worldwide!
That narrator is annoying. She should at least have researched the difference between British and Scottish. She refers to British when she means English. Scotland, England and Wales are all part of Britain. And with N.I it’s the UK.
Scotland is not a catholic country as stated as for catholic priests this is a world wide phenonimum. The Scottish people voted to stay part of Great Britain nothing to do with what England wants. There is a lot better videos about Scotland this is one of the worst with next to no mention of of the many inventions penicillan being a prime example.
This woman seems confused. "James Bond isn't British, he is Scottish?" A Scotsman is still British as England is not Britain, it isn't difficult to find out if you do a little research before making a "factual" video.
Curling was invented in my home town and we still have the original Curling Pond. As a Scottish Presbyterian I can honestly say the Priest issue is not just a Scottish issue. Tbh this was not a good video about Scotland. It said everything to me when she announced the video of Queen Elizabeth ll of England instead of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
You should listen to a Scottish band called ( The Haivers ) and there song called ( Scotland's Fire ) it tells you what Scotland has given the world for your everyday things
Each tartan is related to a clan Almost everyone is descendant of a clan, even a lot of Americans. Kilt is made of about 9 metres of tartan cloth. Originally the 9 metres would just be wound round the body. Please come to Scotland we'd love to see you and take you out for a few drams (whiskey). Some parts of Scotland they still pour a dram over their morning porridge. Also Edinburgh is built around a volcano... Arthurs' Seat
Aye the first international football match played , right across the road from my house I can see the mural and pitch area old hampden from my living room window, cathkin park/3rd lanark at my back garden and new Hampden up the road, some crazy football history there. As a Scott, This is the worst video I've ever seen about Scotland . Her pronunciation of Edinburgh and several other things are definitely not accurate . There are many amazing video's of Scotland and its history and Landscape and this is not one. Donald Trump does own two Golf courses here . That aside our History , Culture , Countryside, Beaches and Cities are well worth visiting.
The kilt has come to signify a natural and unmistakable masculinity, but it has a long history of outside intervention and deliberate reinvention. From its origins as the basic garb of the Highlander, Scotsmen and non-Scotsmen alike have embraced it as uniform, formal and semi-formal wear, and casual everyday wear and it was easier for battles

Scots and English are Brits, the Northern Irish are not. I suggest you learn the difference between the entities (England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland), Great Britain and the United Kingdom. They are not all the same. Hence the reference at the beginning regarding James Bond and Sherlock Holmes being of Scottish decent and suggesting they are not British is totally incorrect. Scots, English and Welsh are all British! Not a good start.

Historically Scotland was a Calvinist country, but became a popular destination for emigrants as it industrialised and attracted workers from Europe. After ww2 the process reversed as the old industries declined with Australia the favourite destination.
you asked about the Kilt ! just a little factoid for you is that original word in Gaelic for kilt is " Philabeg " which apparently was a plaid which was gathered around the waist and fastened with a belt - way way back in the day ! You also may hear the bagpipes being referred to a a " Pibroch " which is not quite accurate as the word Pibroch refers to pipe music rather than the instrument itself. pps. Curling stones are made from a particular type of granite stone from ! ailsa Craig " a small volcanic plug island of the Ayrshire coast in the west of Scotland - another thing that is worth a look at - very interesting how these are made and how the stone is " rationed " per annum ! Whoah ! I was enjoying this until this woman started slagging off Trump who's Grandmother is Scottish and her assertions about the Catholic priests in Scotland, even if true, is out of place on here !! There is another time and place to air that sort of stuff !! - sorry I'm out of here - Catch you next time !

@@thomasmoore5949 a cloth cover or plaid worn in rural Ireland and the Scottish highlands but its not a kilt , thats about it ,
It’s a pretty poor video mate, much better ones out there I’m sure.
Agreed 👍
The narrator is wrong Scotland is a protestant country and Trumps mother was born in Scotland.
A good one is Scottish inventions (tv,phone, penicillin, fridge,
flushing toilet, steam engine, radar, stamps, steam boat(the Waverley still sails from my hometown today) teller bank machines just to name a few🤷🏻♀️
Plus Grand Theft Auto lol.
@@neuralwarpScotland also has a lion flag “lion rampant” OP is correct about the unicorn, it was symbolic the unicorn was the enemy of a lion
It was said the only creature a lion is scared of is a unicorn
thats on the achievement , the coat of arms is the lion rampant @@neuralwarp
Billy Connolly also has a video which takes you around Scotland, and makes you laugh too!
Without doubt the most inaccurate video of Scotland I have ever seen! And I am Scottish and live in Scotland.
Scot born and bred, and there are things in this video I've never heard of.
Elephant polo !!!
That’s one thing I’ve never heard of, and that’s Elephant Polo in Scotland, and I’ve lived in the U.K. for 50 years.
You wouldn't hear about anything Scottish in the uk. Need to study Scotland for that
Why can't you get somebody who can pronounce Edinburgh and other words
Would you believe there are Scottish people that know about Scotland ! What part of Brigadoon did this woman visit 😆
Yes it was a terrible video.
Her assertion that Scotland is a mainly Catholic country is (as with much else in this video) wrong/misleading. The majority of Scots aligning themselves with any particular religious tradition belong to the Church of Scotland, a protestant institution. These were the findings of the last Scottish census:
Not religious (36.7%)
Church of Scotland (32.4%)
Catholic Church (15.9%)
Other Christian (5.5%)
Islam (1.4%)
Other religions (1.2%)
Not stated (7.0%)
Re child abuse in religious settings, there are plenty of well-documented cases in other religious groups too including the Anglican/Episcopalian Church, Salvation Army, Jehovah Witnesses, and the list goes on.
Then again Scotland invented the Modern World from the Scottish enlightenment and the industrial revolution ❤
@@coot1925 I was talking about the first tower (at 3min 20) - that was definitely Edinburgh. You can see the castle in the background.
@@Shoomer1988 my mistake. He mentioned that it looked like Elizabeth tower a bit later on when it was Elizabeth tower. As I said, when people constantly pause it makes a mess of the vid. ✌❤🇬🇧
I scotland we just call it Whisky don't ask for scotch check the gantry as for specific one
Can I please ask that when you watch a video about another country, that it's not made in America? Because a lot of this info is absolute nonsense and the American woman can't pronounce anything correctly. Anyway, still glad you're looking to find out about the world! :)
That's Elizbeth Tower. Showing London for some reason.
Also...IT AINT EDINBURG! xD
For the love of God woman pronounce the capital properly, if you, as in this rubbishy video, get nothing else right!
the vidoe really said "theyre not british. theyre of scottish decent." like... WHAT???
Just to amend...Scotland is a protestant country not a catholic one. I'm also a red head with blue eyes!
Explains perfectly why he has a Golf Course over there
When you sand blast sand stone it brings it up like new therefor new looking castle/fortified house the walls are usually quite thick my little cottage's walls are 2 feet thick.
Is this a comedy?
17:16 No it isn't. It hasn't been since the 16th Century.
17:30 We fought for Centuries, not decades.
Some things I picked up on in the video:
The first clip of the clock tower that looks like Elizabeth Tower/ Big Ben was the clock tower at the Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh.
That is Edinburgh, you can see it on the top of the hill which is a non active volcano
Also, that cringe feeling when the narrator said Edinburg.... It is Edinburgh, we pronounce it as Edin-
Bruh
If you cannot get the name of the country right, stop right there and do something else for a living, like cleaning sewers, or tell folks the earth is flat.
She's not right there were some but the majority of them were in Ireland who covered it up the reason I know that there wasn't a big load of them in Scotland was because my mother and father were brought up in an orphanage called costorphine.and they were horrible to them
Youre right about some places not being in Scotland. Some were filmed in London. God knows why. Great reaction my friend. ❤
I’m not sure why she keeps referring to ’Scottish’ and‘British’ as being two separate things.
People from Scotland, England, North Ireland & Wales are all referred to as ’British’.
Actually I’m not sure about the whole thing! Very odd.
Actually as I get further into it I am sure, that this is absolute nonsense.
Factually inaccurate and misleading.
Presently no matter if you live in England, Scotland or Wales, you are also British. You have & live under your own national flag & also the union flag. We are a union of nations, the greatest union the World has ever seen. Like it or not you are British. 🇬🇧
Yes, I think that’s broadly what I said. If a little less impassioned.
You have to be from the island Britain, so that rules out Northern Ireland
I agree with the comments in regards to poor reference to Scotland and Scottish culture and history. Kilts historically show which clan you belong to depending on your surname, and many other reasons that date back centuries. Also please learn how to pronounce our towns and cities! Us Scot’s are very patriotic and passionate about our country and people in it. Also we are not overly religious country and the information in regards to Catholic priests is not specifically just in Scotland. Abuse scandals related to catholic priests is known worldwide!
Or the royal family.
This video has so many incorrect facts its embarrassing
Scottish people are British 🙄😂
so many pronunciations that upset me!!! Hebridean was particularly bad
That narrator is annoying. She should at least have researched the difference between British and Scottish. She refers to British when she means English. Scotland, England and Wales are all part of Britain. And with N.I it’s the UK.
Good to see you looking better, hope you and the kids are ok
Scotland is not a catholic country as stated as for catholic priests this is a world wide phenonimum. The Scottish people voted to stay part of Great Britain nothing to do with what England wants. There is a lot better videos about Scotland this is one of the worst with next to no mention of of the many inventions penicillan being a prime example.
The unicorn is also fiction.
This woman seems confused. "James Bond isn't British, he is Scottish?" A Scotsman is still British as England is not Britain, it isn't difficult to find out if you do a little research before making a "factual" video.
There's being Scottish and then there's being British.
@@brianandjillianadamson5479 There is a difference indeed. Not every British person is Scottish but every Scot is British.
Trump’s mum was Scottish, that’s why there’s an association mate

His family in Scotland refuse to deal with him. And they live in the same area as one of his golf courses. Hes like a Voldemort parody xD
A very BAD video regarding Scotland look for others. Donald Trump's mother was from Scotland and English was her second language.
Scotland is not a Catholic country, this woman needs to do more research on how the place names are pronounced.
Deliberate, fake, lies seemingly as there is so much wrong!
Plenty better videos to react to then this man

Please go look at other videos of Scotland.....this is shockingly boring and doesn't reflect our beautiful country. PS: its a castle, you were right 😉
That's London
If you are so ignorant about Scotland, why display it on TH-cam? For instance, Donald Trump's mother came from Scotland; she was a MacLeod of Lewis.

Northern Ireland is British. It shouldn’t be but it is. The red Saltire on the butchers apron represent NI. There is no Welsh representation on it.

Historically Scotland was a Calvinist country, but became a popular destination for emigrants as it industrialised and attracted workers from Europe. After ww2 the process reversed as the old industries declined with Australia the favourite destination.
The Trump inclusion is not a "Didn't know about Scotland" inclusion, more an American Democratic obsession. Same with the chilli thing, a bit dumb.

you asked about the Kilt ! just a little factoid for you is that original word in Gaelic for kilt is " Philabeg " which apparently was a plaid which was gathered around the waist and fastened with a belt - way way back in the day !
