    Leah, I've watched several of your videos when I've been trying to figure out how to tackle various home repair projects. I love your straightforward, no BS style. Now you've given me the confidence and knowledge to tackle several drywall projects I've been putting off in my 50-year old house. Thank you for the excellent instruction. Again.

    Hi Leah, This is such a clear & very helpful video. We had some wonky angled plumbing pipes replaced under the kitchen sink. The plumber removed a big chunk of drywall to access pipes. (70 year old house... don't ask !!) I made a paper template for the location of the pipes meeting up with the new drywall. It helped tremendously to see how to cut the drywall. Thanks so much !!

    Great, easy to follow lessons. I think first timers try to cut either the wrong side of drywall or try to cut too deep with the utility knife. I like to watch the tradesman with their tape measure, knife and hand placement just run the length. It has always amazed me how quickly they could score break and cut.

      seejanedrill Hey y’all!
      We brought the pieces of my small adjustable carving bench over. There’s still some to cut. As soon as I get the vanity built and the molding up, it will be the next project. I was doing it all with hand tools. I think this was the project I was working on when I ruptured, but I wouldn’t testify to it. (LOL). But it was the project next to and on my bench. I can’t find the correct words to share with you Ms Leah and Ms Karen at See Jane Drill what it means to me to have this back on my to do list. Couldn’t be at this point without you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
      Big Hug to You

    For measuring and cutting the wallboarder's buddy drywall cutter is the most versatile tool. It both measures and cuts. Circle cutters and rotary saws make holes easier

    It is a very cute video!!! Iam a general contractor and have hung thousands of sheets og drywall....and if any person that I hired to hang board did any one thing you.did in video they would not be hanging board very long......first off why flip the sheet over to cut it....it's easier and cleaner to cut the crease from the front.......on and on and on!!!! Any body hanging production board is hanging 4'x12'x 1/2"or5/8" so flowing sheeet over would be a chore......and we use fixed blade drywall knifes never a retractable one

      Not feeling belittled! Feeling like someone gets it that not everyone feels comfortable with complicated intimidating instructions from jerks who treat us, and call us, idiots, when in fact many of us are totally comfortable with power tools to cut wood. Or to cut off the head & limbs of assholes who think they're better. Just sayin'.

    • @catharineorellana3522
      @catharineorellana3522 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@johng9562 -Nope. Not correct at all. I was referring to those who call us idiots because we don't know how to do something, which intimidates us so that we are hesitant to seek help thereby creating a vicious cycle. Then along comes someone with a simple, step by step video that shows how easy these secrets of the trade really are, secrets that have been kept from us so that we can be made to feel ignorant. I don't feel belittled by the video, I feel empowered with knowledge. I said "..complicated intimidating instructions from jerks who treat us, and call us, idiots..." You didn't put up a video, & I haven't worked with you. So it's wasn't you I was referring to. Sorry for the confusion.
