We cruised on Skyla in September and had a great time! Staff is professional, helpful, friendly and from so many countries. TUI is little known in the States and I learned of the company from watching another river cruise blogger. Flew from Kentucky to catch the flight out of Heathrow (and back). Even with that extra cost, it was cheaper than many 7 day tours stateside. And, we were the only Americans onboard, it was wonderful! Hope to tour again this summer. Also, the food was plentiful and delicious, except for the beans at breakfast, we don't do that over here. LOL
Brilliant to hear you had a great time on Skyla. That was the ship we went on in August and really enjoyed ourselves. It is great value and the crew were so friendly and helpful. Baked beans is definitely a British thing!
We’re thinking of doing a Nile cruise and TUI have some really good prices. This was a good insight into what they offer. We’ll have a look at your ship tour too!
Thank you for watching it. We’ve loved the river cruises we’ve done so far and we’ll definitely do more in the future. Tui offers a good cruise at a great price.
Laura, this was really good. I find it interesting that the restaurant requiring reservations is not the 'posher' one, lol. Excellent source of information of what is/not included. Interesting that most thngs seems to be included except ShorEx, but then Tui aren't as expensive overall as other river cruise companies. Nicely done video!
Thank you, it’s worth noting that since I did this video, Tui no longer provide excursion vouchers/credit. As you said, a lower cost compared to other river cruise companies but in our opinion it didn’t show in the service or experience we had. Are you thinking of cruising with Tui River Cruises? US residents can still book although it’s not promoted.
Booked for September on Skylar after wattching your videos - Thanks. Gone with "Full Board Plus" so not the extra £126. We dont drink much alcohol so fine with just meals. What I cannot quite work out is if the self service tea and coffee machine is included for us or restricted for the extra payment people!
Thank you! To clarify the hot drinks machine is available for all passengers to use so you can use it as much as you like without the package. Hope you have a wonderful time!
@@CruiseLifestyle Great - thanks for confirming. I get a bit panicky if I am too far from a supply of coffee. We have gone for the "Treasures" option and so will check out your on-shore info next to sort out how much we will do organised or on our own. Thanks again.
No worries, we planned most ports ourselves as most of the time you can walk straight into the town/city from the ship. We did bump into passengers on our cruise a lot in ports as we were seeing the same things, just at our own pace. We did the walking tour of Vukovar and found our tour guide really helpful in sharing the history and showing us around. The archeological park was interesting but if you don’t fancy it, you can stay onboard and still see the Golubac Fortress after a leisurely afternoon cruising down the river. Our friend did the folk dance and lunch excursion in Belgrade and said it was very good. Just pick and choose what you fancy doing but don’t feel like you need to book something in every port.
@@badgerattoadhall We live in So Cal and have been trying for over a year to get info on booking but kept getting "No permission to access" error message. Finally a couple of days ago, I had my daughter's boyfriend who lives in Scotland go online and he was able to send us the available cruises. He said when we get ready to book we will have to have him pay with his card and we send him the cash. Reason stated: Don't like US credit cards!!!!!
I'd love to take a river cruise when I retire. I'm glad you've introduced me to this company.
Our pleasure! We really enjoyed our river cruise
This was one of the clearest breakdowns of what’s included on TUI. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!

We are seriously considering a TUI river cruise in June 2024. Really informative video, thanks Laura.
Glad it was helpful!
@@CruiseLifestyle We've actually booked!!! We're going in June 2024 TUI Maya East Danube Explorer.
@@angelahorton5745 wonderful! The Eastern Danube is a nice itinerary and not very touristy yet.
Well that’s just brought back some lovely memories, great video Laura ❤️❤️
Thank you!
thank you again Laura i think you have helped us a lot
I'm so glad this was helpful. We found Tui River Cruises to be excellent value and fairly smooth with what was included.

@@InnocentsAbroad nice, where are you going?
Thanks for the info. Just discovered Tui River cruises, they look very interesting. We’ll have to brush up on our Britishisms!
Thanks Kathy, we enjoyed our river cruise with Tui River Cruises!
Thank you.

May Americans cruise this brand?
Yes, I’m aware of people in the US have cruised on Tui River Cruises.
@@CruiseLifestyle it's just that the website is rather vague for a non uk purchase.
