Yeah honestly, you know animators have to cut corners here and there, but Oh My Gosh, why would you cut scenes that were filmed in the most laborious, difficult, and meticulous way and just brush it off aside and be fine with it!🤯😡

This is unfortunately a common practice in animation, as well as live-action film. But at times, it is also a necessity. Some single shots are found by the filmmakers to drag on for too long and hinder the flow of the film, so to hit a certain timeframe like the traditional 90 minutes for the standard mainstream animated feature, they have to trim down some of these shots to level the pacing of the film. In the case of animation, it's very heartbreaking for animators when small portions of their work do not make it to the final cut since the directors felt it wasn't necessary. That is despite the clear amount of time and effort put into it, whether it be hand-drawn or CG or stop-motion. In Chicken Run's case, it's neat to see the full uncut versions of many of the wonderfully crafted shots in the movie for the first time, as well as some alternate takes on said shots. Then again, I do understand why these 7 minutes were cut from the final film. As I said before, the flow of the story matters a lot to keep the viewer engaged and trimming down these scenes by a fraction is often for the better.
Simple. When it originally premiered in theaters, the film might have contained these now deleted scenes. But when it was released on video, those scenes were removed
@@aaromotivestudio3869nah, I was born a few years after it released and saw the VHS, DVD, Blu-Ray and streaming versions of this film, and almost all of these scenes were left in from what I remember. Maybe I watched a version with the scenes in and remember all of them being like that after the fact, but it's still really strange
And if all of those scenes were to happen in the movie, it would easily get either a PG or maybe a PG-13. Either way, those deleted scenes are wild compared to what we saw in the actual movie.

The only scene I’m glad they cut down was the “it’s all in your head mr tweedy” scene in the movie it was tightly paced but in the deleted scene it felt loose and slower.
Cutting 7 minutes of stop motion animation is wild, because that’s the equivalent of months of work down the drain.
