i really hope nrs really nailed this game's story telling. MK 9-11 story is based from midway's, so nrs can't really have a wide workspace (MK 11 while not directly from midway's lore is still influenced by mk9=mk1,2,3 and mkx=mk4). This new timeline they have freedom in storytelling.
I posted it on another video but glad to see other ppl see that it seems like there is chemistry between Kitana and Johnny Cage. Liu Kang can't be with her cause he's keeper of time, he said in MK 11 you have to make decisions that break your heart, she's nicer to him than she's ever been, plus the intro with Kang saying he hooks up with someone different this time around.
Thank you for these new interactions. I especially love how he interacted with Sub-Zero since both Johnny and Sub-Zero are my Top 2 favorite MK characters of ALL TIME. Also, I love his interactions with everyone else too. 4:33, 4:43 to 5:04 were my favorite parts

Ive been following MK since childhood but the only one I really played much was mk4 and then mk9 and mkX. But I gotta say this is genuinely the first time Johnny Cage has looked like an actual movie star.
Between Kitana admitting to seeing Johnny in bed with women in her dream, and the way she didn't outright rebuke Johnny at his attempts... I feel like there's some major chemistry going there
So I just figured out something interesting. At first, I thought whoever got attacked during the intro was random. As it turns out, whoever the second person is talking is the who gets hit at the start. Other than that, it is fun to think that after Johnny’s one liners, his opponent just got offended and took a cheap shot against him (or that he got into their head and let him kick them in the face).
This has been discussed in MK9, I think. Liu Kang found him to be a doofus, but Raiden saw his potential, claiming he was a hero (though one who didn't know it)

These intros make it seem like Johnny might end up with li mei or kitana 😂. Kitana finally gives up and admits that movies are good and even sounds like she is flirting with that line about outworld women. Li mei also being all friendly with Johnny. Also disappointed there’s like only two intro dialogue lines between kitana and Liu kang which is weird considering there history. From what we’ve seen, they only have two lines to each other
