    Hello, are the areas surrounding the bathtub difficult to clean? I imagined that water would get into those areas and may be difficult to dry and possibly develop mould. Regardless, it looks great. Would appreciate if you could share the link to buy. Thanks

    Hello! Thanks so much for documenting this process that I can learn from. Am doing my own BTO reno now. Would like to ask how big was your kitchen glass on the half partition? I saw that you mention it can be one piece, which means it can be fit into the HDB lift right? :)

    • @helloannesjay
      @helloannesjay  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello! Glad that you learnt something from my video :) My kitchen glass piece is only around 1m in length so definitely it can fit into the lift! The max I think you can go is 2m!

  • @ayecandy_
    @ayecandy_ ปีที่แล้ว

    hi! love your honesty here. just curious, when you bought all the physically big items from tb like the bathtub, they are able to send it straight to your door? does it cost more if they have to take the stairs instead of the lift?

    • @helloannesjay
      @helloannesjay  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Thank you and for big items they were able to take the lift up (thankfully!), it costed the same. Unless the item is more than 2.1m then it will be an issue

    What did you use for balcony floor? Is it interlocking decking tiles? Where did u get it? Thanks. Love your videos.

    • @helloannesjay
      @helloannesjay  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Sorry, I'm not 100% sure what the balcony decking is as it came with the house when we bought it! I think it's the original flooring that is mounted permanently. We only painted over it. Thanks for your compliment btw! :)

    Thanks so much for sharing! I am also doing glasswork and thankfully managed to find out about the greenish tint of clear tempered glass vs crystal clear glass, which I would also just assume that clear glass = colourless.
    May I know if the $4k used to change the glass to crystal clear version includes the wastage fee of the tempered glass, purchase of crystal clear and manpower to reinstall? Or is that solely based on the difference in price between clear tempered glass and crystal clear glass?

    • @helloannesjay
      @helloannesjay  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi there! So sorry for the super late reply! To answer your question, for the $4k yes it includes everything to replace the installed tempered glass (manpower to remove and install as well)!

    Hi. I got a unit in the same development and am considering swapping the stove position also. Can I check why you went with the private contractor for renovation of gas pipes in the kitchen? I was of the impression that City Gas would do it for HDB and it is much cheaper than the private LCGW. Also, can you share the quote for the works and contact if price is reasonable for the LCGW? Mine is currently about 10x more than City Gas price.

    • @helloannesjay
      @helloannesjay  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Ellen! Oh its because we were told by Citygas that this kind of material can only be done by private contractor (cause its DBSS supposedly "condo style"). I think our quote was around $2K (this was 2 years ago) which I think now the prices is so much higher, you can actually just contact anybody from the list of approved private contractors :)

      Hi! We make our place rly cat proof by installing invisible grilles (also by not letting the cats roam in the balcony), keeping the windows closed and also our gate design has narrow grilles so they can’t escape 😊 hope this helps!

    I had encountered almost the same issue while currently engaging with a reno company for our toilet reno. We are not engaging an ID but dealing directly with this reno company where they have contacts with relevant contractors. It seems that they are the middle man. The site supervisor & some contractors seems inexperience. Site supervisor inefficient in a way as lack of co ordination here n there. The contractors had made damages to my wall n ceiling while hacking my toilet. Wall cracked & ceiling peel after hacking. Wall cracked again with holes while changing new toilet water pipes & wash machine tap. Wash machine tap change FOC. Wall deep cracked 3rd time in my master bedroom with big hole while making new wardrobe in there while they were shifting th3 shelf of the wardrobe near corner of the wall. When i tried to feedback the problems, what the irresponsible site supervisor said was the wash machine tap was given FOC. Even though wash machine tap was install given FOC this means one can damage the wall of a owner's home??!! And other damages reno which we had paid?!! We relocate aircon cables into the water pipe box . And while the aircon contractor did the relocation, water started dripping where we later found one of the cables was damaged with a hole which cause water to keep dripping when aircon was on. We were made to pay $50 for a new replacement of the cable which damage was done by them!! And the ridiculous reply we got from reno company site supervisor was they denied everything & said it was due to cable was too old & damage was not done by aircon ppl. It doesnt make sense as we are using for 5 years or so even though cable was old about 10 years. No water dripping even though it was a resale flat condition. It was after relocation we started to have this problem. Plus another absurd reason he gave is due to hacking the wall vibrate which cause the aircon cables inside to torn. My question was how can hacking be possibly be the reason if not for the damage the aircon ppl had done. Coz hacking is hacking from the outside part of wall not inside of the water pipe box!! One of the contractors failed to show for tiling thus reno was delayed due to everything disorganized. Some contractors changed schedule when it had been arranged. Initially, our approval of reno permit was delayed by 2 days due to typo error made by the office . Our unit number info was given wrongly to HDB even though correct address was given to site supervisor!! Even we started reno on the HDB date given, reno was delayed. It was said to complete on 1 apr & now we are still far behind waiting for panel to be installed in our toilet after 24 apr. This is the worst experience i ever had with all the damages, deny from the reno company. Plus some contractors will come with sacaratic words when they were here!

    when you ask them to redo because you are not satisfied with the works, do they absorb the cost and redo or do you pay them double?

    • @helloannesjay
      @helloannesjay  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Andrew! They absorbed the cost because it was not up to the standard, except for the glass works we had to pay them extra (to remove and change to crystal glass) cause it was "market standard"
