1323 quite literally changed my life. When I went to sac regional in 2019, they had swerve on display. I was a freshman in hs at the time. When I went home after sac, I decided that I wanted a swerve for my team. I spent the next several years making 4 iterations of a swerve design. The final iteration could be machined using the limited machining resources my team had. I published a peer reviewed paper in ATINER’s Journal of Technology and Engineering on the design. I became president of my hs’s team partially because of swerve. I had spent over 500 hours making that design. And I got into UCSD for Aerospace Engineering and am now starting a company. When I saw Madtown’s swerve, I went from a relatively unmotivated high schooler to a kid with purpose. Much love from San Diego ❤️
holy crap i'm a first alumni who also goes to ucsd (2nd year, math and cs)! theres no doubt in my mind that first robotics changed the trajectory of my life although it was moreso the computer vision that team 987 did with limelight sparked my interest in engineering rather than swerve drive.
Looks like they're simulating some kind of warehouse task instead of a useless fighting competition. If only the neighbors were willing to pay for another round of highschool for lions.

Congratulations on all of your accomplishments!
Thank you for this vid! Always wondered how their robot worked this year
Me literally going frame by frame because they're just so fast😂
that's an incredible machine!
what a beautiful machine
what camera do you use? this footage looks crisp asf
borrowed a 5dm4 and 70 200 2.8 ii
Sheeeesh
Just wondering, what's that blue thing at the top of the robot
And what does it o
Do*
It appears to be their mount for led strip and limelight.
@@raymondwu4617 ah yes
Believe they also had a Google coral attached to it
