That might be a hot take for some people. The first volume was great but i also think the first volume was enough for me so i haven’t continued it at all😂

Simon im so sorry for what you are about to read but i didn't like call of the night 😭 i read until volume 6 i guess? the story just didn't interest me and i find it pretty slow. i've read the it becomes better since volume 7 or so, but i don't feel like finishing it -.- I agree with you, boy's abyss was really bad lol, at first i liked it because of the guilty pleasure but after volume 9 or so... 😂

I can’t blame you though, the start is extremely slow and the comedy in it is kinda weak maybe like 1 good chuckle per volume.

Hard agree on Tokyo Aliens. Want to continue the story though so I’ll read it digitally instead. It’s just a shame that you don’t own it the same way when it’s digital.
I also found #DRCL a bit confusing but the release is beautiful.
And I like cough love cough Boy’s Abyss. ;) Would have preferred if the focus was on the main character though, I didn’t really like the “showing that everyone has a struggle” aspect. The one where they have all the speech bubbles over a double spread. It started to get repetitive really fast. And to be fair I don’t really care if the teacher is struggling, she’s an awful person.
I didn't read too many bad series this year, but there were a few disappointments for me. The first is Ichi-F. I recommended it to you while I was still reading the first half for myself, and in all honesty, it overstayed its welcome in my opinion. A single volume's worth of content would've been fantastic, but there's just too much fluff in the omnibus. It is not absolutely terrible, but it does become a slog to read through the longer it goes on.
Quintessential Quintuplets would've made it on the list, especially since in the tier list video we did, I put the series in the RAG tier, but after watching the entire anime, including the movie, I would like to atone for my sins and move it up to B tier (whatever the equivalent to that was, I honestly forgot). I actually started to enjoy it towards the end of season 1, and by season 2, I was hooked. So, harem gods, please forgive me for my past comments 😂. Also, Miku is best girl.
Boy's Abyss is probably the only series I just did not vibe with. I totally get the comparison to Shuzo Oshimi that you made, but even though my morbid curiosity gets the better of me when reading an Oshimi series, I can happily jump off the train that is Boy's Abyss. Although I'm interested in continuing to hear your thoughts on it as the train goes off a cliff.

Honestly, man, the hype got to me in the beginning. I've learned my lesson and will only recommend things I've finished or caught up to from now on 😂.
Okay I haven’t read any really bad manga this year so instead here’s my favourite manga that I read this year: Vinland Saga, Golden Kamuy, Hells Paradise, and Blue Lock! :-) And maybe an honourable mention to Under Ninja.
Also nice list lol. I’ve heard good things of the vampire one but it does seem hard to follow. Amazing art though!
Those are some good picks right there! Golden Kamuy is a series i need to give a try. I always hear good things about it compared to other seinen
Yess definitely check it out! The only thing is its sort of long but at least its already complete at 31 volumes. Although as a fellow Bleach fan 31 might not be considered long since Bleach is double its length lol.@@simonsaburou

I disagree with Ito being horrible but our tastes vary. But I do agree as far as Betwixt. I forgot the stories as soon as I finished. Beyond that, I'm wrapping up DBZ. Also reading Sensei's Pious Lie, Summit Of The Gofs and Cells at work. As far as recommendations, try Drifting Classroom if not already and I'm going to keep hyping up Hinamatsuri lol.
Drifting classroom scares me. Not because it’s horror but because it’s by Umezz and i know they heavily inspired Ito. My brain has the belief that Umezz will also be horrible😂
@@simonsaburou I'm a big horror fan and most of the manga leaves much to be desired. But a Drifting Classroom was more of a thriller to me. One crazy thing after the next. I'd give it a try.
